I am genuinely surprised I hadn't heard of this book.

Must flick through it next time I'm in a bookshop.

FrannyandZooey · 02/02/2009 19:43

nod sagely

mp i don't know as i hate that sort of crap
oh, unless i am in it

ooh I have looked quote up on my computer

ah yes it is lovely isn't it?

FrannyandZooey · 02/02/2009 19:46

yes delicious

when will someone else other than me get a copy? so i can discuss it
cos frankly mp you can't remember a ruddy thing about it and are just posting in a haze of fear and excitement aren't you?

pointydog - you don't actually look at the adverts around mumsnet much, do you?

morningpaper · 02/02/2009 19:50

yes Franny so far the fear is winning

I've got a copy but that doesn't count

I DO like the layout though, I think that is nice

And I really love the cartoon for the Special Needs chapter

pointydog · 02/02/2009 20:30

Do you know, I dont look at the adverts at all, squonk. They are a mild irritation in teh corner of my eye.

So I am even moire surprised to hear there were adverts for this book as I was spending many minutes, even hours, posting my rubbish.

hunkermunker · 02/02/2009 20:41

Are you doing all the books, MP?

morningpaper · 02/02/2009 20:44

No, there are Other People doing the Other Books

fryalot · 02/02/2009 20:48

other people? what is this "other people" that you speak of?

morningpaper · 02/02/2009 20:50

Wankingguideauthor · 02/02/2009 20:51

Me. Guess which one I am compiling? It is hard winnowing down the material though...

morningpaper · 02/02/2009 20:52

Are you doing Expat's Guide to Love?

fryalot · 02/02/2009 20:54

are they mumsnetters, mp? are they, are they?

morningpaper · 02/02/2009 20:56

I don't know Squonk TBH

I've helped to Mumsnetify up some parts of some of them i.e. add knob gags here and there which Justine then takes out again

Wankingguideauthor · 02/02/2009 20:58

Yes, but it is very hard. Some names come up all the time for the quotes. I am trying so hard to make it representative of the rich spectrum of opinion and practices but some folk just post about weaning and nappies and others post almost obsessively about "love" so....

FrannyandZooey · 02/02/2009 21:24

oh mp i thought you were doing them all
how odd
oh well there goes my hopes of being in the others as well

Franny, why don't you ask Justine if you can write a Mumsnet guide to weird fruit healthy eating?!

Now that's one I might make it into! Go on Franny!

pointydog · 02/02/2009 22:34

lol @ wankingguideauthor. Who are you really?

FrannyandZooey · 03/02/2009 08:32

lol if the veg thread is anything to go by it would start off sensibly and descend into role playing and bickering
and bad puns

why are Justine's elbows stuck to he body in that YouTube clip? Was it a fight with a toddler/preschooler who was armed with a tube of superglue and an evil grin?
