This Morning want a couple of Mumsnetters to appear with Carrie and Justine next week... anyone fancy it?

ITV's This Morning programme have invited me and Justine on to talk about the Toddlers book and want to also invite a couple of Mumsnetters to talk about how they got into Mumsnet and what Mumsnet means to them etc.

The date will probably be 4th or 5th Feb, they will need us between 9.30 and 12 and are prepared to pay travel expenses.

Anyone out there interested in snuggling up on the sofa? If you are, please put a bit of blurb about yourself here - how many children you have/how old, how you got into Mumsnet and what it means to you etc - so This Morning can decide who they might fancy inviting. If you do volunteer we may have to pass your email details on to This Morning, in case they want to chat to you, so shout now if you'd rather we didn't do that.

Thanks,

MNHQ

it relates to this justine

If you have a facebook account, you can see that information. You don't have to be a member of the group nor to have received an invitation to join.

MauriceDancer · 03/02/2009 14:04

i think you'll find the moldies link (or the one at the time, i believe it may have changed) is on the front of the DoM site. who started the DoM, does anyone know?

wickedwitchofwestlife · 03/02/2009 14:05

everyone was asking about DOM so i thought id clear it up. not a problem is it? If no-one can see anything, that is.

Rhubarb · 03/02/2009 14:07

Is there a full moon? Is someone transmitting radioactive gases through the computers? Because something very odd is happening to people on Mumsnet.....

I have a facebook account to my shame Zen yet that link comes up with a window saying I have to join the group.

Threadworm · 03/02/2009 14:08

I don't know who started in Aitch, but I think it really is just a joke. It was established turing Mouldiegate just as a quick-fire funny, like making a daft picture-link, as far as I know.

I don't get the name changing, are you not just spreading an argument onto this thread? Not that it needs any more arguments.

wickedwitchofwestlife · 03/02/2009 14:11

You have to join it
are they pressganging peeps into becoming members?
Well shag me sideways and call me elmo.

posieflump · 03/02/2009 14:11

oh yes agree with Fio - those facebook links give names and faces, has anyone reported it?

MauriceDancer · 03/02/2009 14:13

i think i know who started it... i'm just keen to see if she's up for admitting it.

Rhubarb something's gone wonky with your computer, that's all. www's links were to the DoM site on facebook. are you at work, maybe, and FB is blocked or something?

CreativeZen · 03/02/2009 14:13

YOu can only see them if you have a facebook account and, if you have such an account, that information is out there for anyone to see. I haven't posted anything secret or with sensitive information in it that would not be accessible any other way.

southeastastra · 03/02/2009 14:15

one of the facebookers appears to be a muppet!

Rhubarb · 03/02/2009 14:16

Uh-Oh, I'm keeping well out of this one. Posting peoples real names doesn't feel right at all. I'm sure there are lots of Mumsnet facebook groups but it doesn't mean to say you have to out all their members does it?

MauriceDancer · 03/02/2009 14:17

that's the problem with FB, it's all searchable if the group isn't closed. i loathe FB for the most part.

MauriceDancer · 03/02/2009 14:18

she didn't post anyone's name, she posted a link... plus those names (with from what i can see two exceptions) don't equate to MN names. what's the big deal?

CreativeZen · 03/02/2009 14:18

Sorry, I didn't realise there would be a problem in posting a link to a page on the web which is available for everyone to see anyway. I'll report my own post and ask for it to be deleted.

posieflump · 03/02/2009 14:18

erm creativezen -because if you didn't know there was such a group on facebook you woudn't be searching for it
and now people don't need to search for it they can just click your oh-so-easy-to-find link and hey presto, people's names and faces
