but I would be grateful if you could tell me that you have at least given serious consideration to banning the posters who were harrassing her.

Thank you.

aaaagh. sorry. i malfunctioned.

Aitch · 20/01/2009 22:34

fuckitgoblin. your name was a phrase i saw on moldies when i was there. i'm loathe to get all conspiracy-tastic but are you spelling it mouldies to throw people off the scent of your moldiness?
(i should stress i don't care whether you are or aren't, tbh, but i just thought that your post was odd).

bundle · 20/01/2009 22:35

justine i thought he was a psychologist, not a psychiatrist

Ingles2 · 20/01/2009 22:35

The point of an chat/advice board like this is that it gives everyone a chance to be an "authority" on something. Doesn't matter whether it's in your nickname or not.
For all the disclaimers, I really can't believe the majority would assume a posters opinion is the word of godmumsnet.
and how can it be fair for any other poster to retain any sort of job title/professional qualification in their nickname, in jest or no> ? someone might believe them

i can't remember who but it was said to rev.

all in the name of protecting innocent members of mn from a troll.

my fucking arse.

tortoiseshellWasMusicaYearsAgo · 20/01/2009 22:37

ruty, I didn't read all the threads - I'm simply putting over my opinion about the bits I've read.

Aitch · 20/01/2009 22:37

and if you were on moldies at the time you'll know that it wasn't quite as nice as a simple 'revoke'.

controlfreakythecontrolfreak · 20/01/2009 22:37

yeah.... who are you? and where is your goblin certificate?

LadyMuck · 20/01/2009 22:38

But JF was a fraud, and a number of us pointed this out to MNHQ (who took some time to take any action in that instance). And in that instant he was impersonating a RL traceable barrister and giving bad/wrong advice.

Rev isn't a fraud and no-one has raised any concern about what she has actually done on RW etc.

JustineMumsnet · 20/01/2009 22:38

Oi Richard Dawkins - if you're planning to set yourself up as MN's ethological expert, we'll have to ask you to name change...

controlfreakythecontrolfreak · 20/01/2009 22:39

what happened aitch? it will be cathartic to tell us..... (maybe)....

HighPriestessrutyofthe7Seas · 20/01/2009 22:39

Mr JA got angry and said something out of order and has apologised - i think?

BennyAndJoon · 20/01/2009 22:40
JustineMumsnet · 20/01/2009 22:40

LadyMuck I was pointing out that those who doubted Revjusta thought of her as a JudgeFlounce - not suggesting she was akin in any way.

RiaParkinson · 20/01/2009 22:40

Aitch you are clever!

Realises she has been using wrong spelling and is actually a bit pleased!

controlfreakythecontrolfreak · 20/01/2009 22:40

pph sophable? i am shocked.

tortoiseshellWasMusicaYearsAgo · 20/01/2009 22:41

LM - yes, that's the point - an example of a long-standing poster, defended vociferously by MNers, who turned out to be a fraud. Which is why, inevitably, people who were around at that time may sometimes question the identities of others, especially those who take on a perceived 'role' on the board. I know that the Rev has proved her credentials - fine, she's genuine. She's not another Judge Flounce. But she could have been - any of us could - and MNHQ say that if you have concerns about a poster to let them know.

Heathcliffscathy · 20/01/2009 22:41

just to reiterate i have left moldies and will not be returning (sounds of muted cheers from moldieland).

Heathcliffscathy · 20/01/2009 22:41

oh don't lets name names. it's too awful.

yes it was shocking.

Aitch · 20/01/2009 22:42

it got... tense, CF.

controlfreakythecontrolfreak · 20/01/2009 22:42

fuckit, if as aitch suggests you are a mouldie who was a longstanding mner who has name changed after joining mouldies for mn posting purposes then you are one of the people i was moaning about lower down this thread....

why name change?
