just wondering, as i can't find it.

OP posts:
tortoiseshellWasMusicaYearsAgo · 06/01/2009 17:17

(sorry justine, really will sit on hands now)

stillstanding · 06/01/2009 17:17

(Definitely look at pag's children - they are gorgeous!)

CoteDAzur · 06/01/2009 17:18

I think it's very bizarre that anyone would want a forum where nobody would clash.

Lulumama · 06/01/2009 17:19

thanks flight, saw some stuff about teh SN boards, and did not have time to read through it all, so was hoping for a quick summary !

Flightattendant7 · 06/01/2009 17:23

Its ok lu.

I am only concerned now that if we're discouraged from posting about it it doesn't make the feelings go away. I disagree that it isn't helping anyone.
There is a great deal of analysis (self and each other) going on and if the threads had stopped at a certain point last week I don't think I would have reached closure in the same way.

I don't think you can just pretend it didn'[t happen, HQ. I know you want everyone to be nice but surely it's not possible to make us all happy all the time? As long as personal attacks and such get blasted then your job is done.

BecauseImWorthIt · 06/01/2009 17:26

I sort of agree, Flight - but what more is there to say, really? All that's happened today has been a lot of stuff that's been getting more and more unpleasant - and more and more specific about Rhubarb and Custy, which is surely not a good thing?

SaintGeorge · 06/01/2009 17:26

And again can I please point out that Moldies has nothing to do with the Yahoo GF group.

DaddyJ · 06/01/2009 17:30

Ah, you were away on hols!
Apologies..I understand the radio silence now
and take back some of my criticism.

Crikey, this thread is going to hit 1000
before I am finishing catching up!

allnewcontrolfreaky · 06/01/2009 17:30

well, lulu..... sunday night ended on a good note, with discussion of heat pads for rabbits...... since then we have had daddyj preaching peace and reconciliation alongside a rousing call for more "leadership" to broker a peace deal..... in depth discussion of propriety of comparing mouldies with restricted access sn board (non mouldies say ridiculous, mouldies say is no different).... some lovely baby pictures.... some vociferous namechangers (some of whom deny being name changers... some of whom first deny and then accept they are namechangers) who are keen to defend the mouldies good name and all their actions..... a fair bit of random "getoveryourselves... rhubarb posting about the "golf club type exclusivity" (my words) of mouldies and prufrock responding with a scenario involve bob from the pub and his overfamiliar friend algy .... err, and justine saying..... things....

Flightattendant7 · 06/01/2009 17:30

I see what you mean BIWI.

I just feel that a lot of people are not being horrid, (althoug haven;t read much of today's) and will still want to discuss. Otherwise it just seems the alternative is that it is the big elephant in the corner that nobody's allowed to mention? I understand it;s a difficult call but a blanket ban can't be the answer surely. It just looks wrong, to me.

Lulumama · 06/01/2009 17:32

thanks freaky, i really have got a handle on this thread now

not

algernon?

nope, will have to read the thread

BecauseImWorthIt · 06/01/2009 17:34

Perhaps we need a private room to discuss it, Flight?

ClarissimoUsedToBePeachy · 06/01/2009 17:42

You know the one little thing that does bug me about this? that if you're not being anti moldies some people still seem to want (or expect?) you to be and read your psots thus.

I undestand the 'moldies' being a bit defensive (in terms of expecting to be attacked) but there 's some real calming down of positins needed perhaps? Build those bridges and off we tripp trapp trot

ClashingFriends · 06/01/2009 17:46

Thomcat - fwiw I agree with you completely. I have friends who although the 4 of us get on well together, I am closer to 1 of them than the other 2 and she is to me. It would hurt the others feelings if they knew that there were times she wanted to see me without the others as we all started out at baby group together. Sometimes saying nothing is the kindest option.

chipmonkey · 06/01/2009 17:58

That works fine with 4 friends, ClashingFriends but with 143 or whatever, someone is going to let the cat out of the bag sooner or later and that's when the trouble starts.

pagwatch · 06/01/2009 18:08

stillstanding . Why thanks ! although we still wonder how there can have been three seperate hospital mix ups. And do wonder at times how the people that landed up with our butt ugly offspring have reconciled that

FairLadyRantALot · 06/01/2009 18:40

lol pag....that just made me splutter all over my keyboard...cheers...

Hm...whilst I kinda get prufrocks analogy...I think the implicattion of it is a bit ...and people were warning me about libellous (sp?) posts...

lou031205 · 06/01/2009 18:59

Prufrock, your analogy was a bit like pouring petrol on a slowly diminishing fire - cleared nothing up, made nothing better, International Peacekeeping forces will not be knocking your door, I feel.

I still feel that my analogy of John Grisham's book "The Firm" explained things rather well, but it got hidden in one of the last threads.

Really would be better for someone to post a link to the site, with an email address for those who would like to join to contact. Then you can openly decline applications, and no-one is left hanging. I for one would not be applying, has left a nasty taste, but for those that would, they will never be left wondering if

a) They were vetoed
b) The were not deemed significant enough
c) They were simply forgotton.

Not sure what the worst of these is. Horses for courses I suppose.

CoteDAzur · 06/01/2009 19:01

Prufrock a great character for this thread.

In the room the women come and go, talking of Michelangelo

Flamespar · 06/01/2009 19:01

But Lou, that would really only cross forgotten off your list

ClarissimoUsedToBePeachy · 06/01/2009 19:01

people think I want kindness

No, I'm big and ugly enough for reality to be preferable

I understand the idea of kindness I guess and I suppose the motives just feels a bit- lacking in depth. I want people to think I have the balls for the truth.

Flightattendant7 · 06/01/2009 19:02

I have a feeling I am deemed too anxious.
I wouldn't want me on a forum, because I would make myself feel anxious myself just by reading my posts.
iyswim.
there are others like me here. I feel a warm glow of acceptance. Especially by those who have not already answered my worried posts and thus are not yet bored rigid by hitting their heads on that brick wall.

it must be such a happy place over there...

Flamespar · 06/01/2009 19:03

(Not really related to this at all, but Peachy - do you have your own AS tendencies?)

Flightattendant7 · 06/01/2009 19:04

see the papers should just quote Cote. It would give a much better impression of us all.

ClarissimoUsedToBePeachy · 06/01/2009 19:04

definitely flame- can I ask why?
