ROFL at the Peachy cat.

Rhubarb · 06/01/2009 14:13

Ah foxy - you yourself do not feel insulted, which is good. But if you had been in Bob's place, had drinks with these people, lent them fags, shared personal info with them, considered them to be friends. Then found out that some of those "friends" had vetoed your membership. Perhaps you would feel a little differently?

You see, in the pub there are people who didn't really know or like any of the golf club set anyway so didn't care. But they can still empathy for those of the pub group who had been there from the beginning too, had friends in there and had been vetoed.

You see, it's not just the issue of the golf club's existance, it's the behaviour of the members. Who in their right minds would tell people that they had been vetoed? Knowing the hurt that would cause? And then tell the pub group how to improve their group?

pagwatch · 06/01/2009 14:13

and even the cat is odd, the carers from the NAS home oposite sneak around photographing him

ROFL at Peachy.
Show us your ...cat

foxytocin · 06/01/2009 14:15

thanks coppertop! i can see you and your copperytop too!

i like to think i have presence dj. was getting worried a mo.

i think i read - or possibly dreamt that narnia business.

please mary, don't let it be i dreamt it! lol.

Rhubarb · 06/01/2009 14:15

Morty has been signed up for modelling don't you know?

Trouble is, when I tried to join the modelling thread they all turned against me! Jealousy you see, I get it everywhere I go.

pagwatch · 06/01/2009 14:15

Fair.
I don't think he really does - not that that would be a bad thing
Perhaps it is just the wrong sport. He was always rugby rather than cricket.

Its hard to be objective about what he looks like - we've been together since he was 19 and I still think of him like that
[ahh emoticon]

ClarissimoUsedToBePeachy · 06/01/2009 14:15

its troooo

he knocks on the door proper-like and refuses tro do his business unless over drainage

bizarre creature

morningpaper · 06/01/2009 14:16

I used to have a cat that knocked on the door at the door knocker

it was very annoying in the night

Rhubarb · 06/01/2009 14:16

foxy - no you didn't, I read that too. I think Aitch told us they had a banner across the top saying "This is not Narnia".

Trouble is, they say we are mis-quoting them all the time, but you can't get at the truth because the truth lies hidden behind closed doors!

However I really do think that we are playing into their hands now. This has been a hot topic for 2 weeks and we don't really want them to think they are that important do we?

Rhubarb · 06/01/2009 14:18

I didn't have a cat once.

It never knocked on my knocker.

ClarissimoUsedToBePeachy · 06/01/2009 14:18

jealousy, Rhubs, or exorcism?

Rhubarb · 06/01/2009 14:19

What are you saying? The head spinning thing is just a party trick I tell ya!

ClarissimoUsedToBePeachy · 06/01/2009 14:19

it is isnt it MP? I put holly on the handle over Christmas to stop him

pagwatch · 06/01/2009 14:19

..."because the truth lies hidden behind closed doors!"

Lets get Peachys cat to knock?

They would def fall for that...

ClarissimoUsedToBePeachy · 06/01/2009 14:19

DS! has a grade A in demonic possession, if you ever feel Morty has- er- talents that could be developed I could loan him?

DaddyJ · 06/01/2009 14:20

Rhubarb, it would be pathetic if they had all decided to leave MN.
Most of them did not want to do that, though.

Rhubarb · 06/01/2009 14:22

No Daddyj, they want the benefits of both worlds whilst telling us how to improve ours!

Shall we send in the cat AND Morty?

VinegarTits · 06/01/2009 14:22

Rhubs i love your anologies

And the memebrs of the golf club would not tell the members of the pub where the golf club was, right? cos it was a secret

FairLadyRantALot · 06/01/2009 14:22

lol pag...I think I might be a bit tooo objective about my poor dh..he definitely looks like that Biker (who says, don't tell my boss, I am a nurse) in weird science ....even he says he does...so, I suppose that is o.k.

DaddyJ · 06/01/2009 14:23

What if they opened up their world to us?
Those of us who really care, of course.

Could we not work something out?

VinegarTits · 06/01/2009 14:24

Anf the golf club was ex-directory, so you could find it in the phone book on google

Thomcat · 06/01/2009 14:24

Did it have to be golf?
I'm too cool for golf.

foxytocin · 06/01/2009 14:24

oh, i see the analogy rhuby. i would have gone nuclear like custy.

she's given a lot of her time to set up christmas meetups for all. surely people she's rowed with and who she's rarely seen eye to eye with have attended the dos but afaik, she's arranged those unconditionally. then to be kicked in the arse teeth like that must hurt.

CatIsSleepy · 06/01/2009 14:24

i knew there was a reason i don't like golf

well there are several actually

yes send in morty riding on the cat's back! that'll put the wind up 'em

FairLadyRantALot · 06/01/2009 14:24

Cat and Morty..now there is a scary thought
oh dear, I so wasted a whole morning and best part of the afternoon on mumsnet....well, not wasted...but...was meant to do other things....and well...
but it is so nice and quiet in my house, what with all them Kids being back at school...whoopie
