This thread is a continuation of this one. That one had become too big for its own boots the system to handle.

Hunker, sorry I got distracted - will explain Nestle reference tomorrow,
it's all a bit frantic tonight and I am knackered.

MT, you are having a very good thread. In general agreement with your posts.
Black Russians obviously working their magic.

Good night and, of course, Happy New Year

TWINSETinapeartree · 01/01/2009 23:51

I thought you were taking the piss out of my lovenote adorned cheeseboard.

controlfreakyhohohohohohoho · 01/01/2009 23:52

NotanOtter · 01/01/2009 23:53

lol ledodgy - he sounds very like dp!!

( he tells me i would 'miss it ' )

RustyBear · 01/01/2009 23:53

OK, about the wiki thing - there was initially a humourous paragraph about Rhubs & Custy which I believe Rhubs posted - the one at 13.53. Someone posted a link to it - by the time I read it, the second bit about 'up their own arses' was there (posted 16.36).
A few minutes later the third bit, about Peachy appeared.

I went into the history and deleted the second two bits. I left the first one because it seemed harmless.

When I went to complete the delete, I was told that someone else was editing at the same time - as far as I could see the other edit was the same as mine, ie deleting the two second parts but leaving the original paragraph, so I pressed save - so I don't actually know whether it was deleted by me or someone else, but I think it was the other person because I am registered on Wikipedia & it would have given my details, not an ip address.

When I went back to the other thread, Peachy was on it saying she had written the bit about herself as a joke - I didn't realise it was her at first, as she's changed her name

About half an hour later, someone else deleted the original paragraph.

Sad
NorthernLurker · 01/01/2009 23:54

Biscuits - I think there's a lot to be said for getting over it. I've followed these threads from the start and felt upset and cross about the whole Moldies thing - but I'm a hell of a lot more upset now but what's happening here.

People - you are never going to post yourselves back to the state you were in before Moldiegate - but if we don't move on - all of us - without anybody getting off the bus a few stops early! We will all lose.

In the last two days I've posted on a thread trying to support a woman who has delivered her cherished child 13 weeks early. I've posted on a thread for a woman who was googling information to help her husband care for his dying mother in a country where there was no palliative care and I've been posting on another thread asking for prayers for a mother - just like us - who was critically ill. Right now I'm posting on a thread for a woman whose husband appears to be abusing her.

So get your arses off this thread and go to bed or go and do something else because we have all sat here far too long to do any good.

NotanOtter · 01/01/2009 23:54

twinset - please spill contents of lovenote or was it rude ?

LedodgyChristmasjumper · 01/01/2009 23:54

BALD · 01/01/2009 23:56

Fucking hell Rusty are you saying that the whoe wiki thing was you/Peachy/Rhubs ?

I was really upset about that, thinking someone had the knife out for Peachy

Monkeytrousers · 01/01/2009 23:58

Oh. Will tell them DJ

LedodgyChristmasjumper · 02/01/2009 00:01

No, No, NO the second bit about Custy and Rhubarb the not nice one wa sposted by someone else rusty was deleted/tried to delete the horrible bit!

Doodle2U · 02/01/2009 00:01

Just been having a serious play with Wiki and IP addresses.

Please take note - it's a doddle to look up an IP address and find out at least what town the PC is based in. I've just looked up mine (see last two edits on Wiki entry) and then used the IP number to search - it practically picked out my house! I only used a free IP Look-Up program I found on Google!

Please don't piss about on Wiki for anything you do not wish to be found out for!

Quattrocento · 02/01/2009 00:01

BALD, I think the nasty entry about Custy/Rhubarb is not known.

Monkeytrousers · 02/01/2009 00:02

Oh. I'm having a monotorim on people crying personal comments' and 'bullying'. Make a specific accusation (with proofs), allow the person you accused to respond, and them move on. Disagreement is not bullying. We are all adults here. Surely we do not need a dose of smelling salts whenever we get challenged on sommat?!

NotanOtter · 02/01/2009 00:02

doodle you sound clever!

Monkeytrousers · 02/01/2009 00:03

No, I am with you Claus

cupsoftea · 02/01/2009 00:03

Compare revisions as well

RustyBear · 02/01/2009 00:04

No, I think the first paragraph ( the harmless one) was by Rhubarb - I think she said so somewhere - sorry if that's not so.

Then the bit about up their own arses appeared, without the bit about Peachy - I have no idea who posted that, but their IP address is there.

Thirdly the bit about Peachy appeared - which Peachy then said was put there by her, but I didn't realise that until after I'd deleted it.

I didn't add anything, only deleted, and we still don't know who put on the 'up their arses bit', but it wasn't either Peachy or Rhubarb, the ip address is different.

Monkeytrousers · 02/01/2009 00:05

Twinset, what love note?? People sending you love notes and trying to be ironic????

Monkeytrousers · 02/01/2009 00:06

lol Soph.

Monkeytrousers · 02/01/2009 00:07

But really, what would anything we said matter? ReallY?

doodle you sound clever!

Alright, calm down - I know it's unheard of for me to utter owt interesting on here! Normal posting style shall now be resumed!

Quattrocento · 02/01/2009 00:11

I just did that Doodle

Monkeytrousers · 02/01/2009 00:12

Well I disagree it was harmless, Rusty. Inflamatory, I'd say, in the current atmosphere. A bit like Sharon's visit to the Temple Mount and then pleading ignorance afterwards. These disagreements have a common element.
