This thread is a continuation of this one. That one had become too big for its own boots the system to handle.

OP posts:
ClausImWorthIt · 01/01/2009 23:20

Can we please stop this cattiness? It doesn't serve any of us well.

Blu · 01/01/2009 23:20

"who've buggered off to form a secret site"

afaics amongst the rather haphazard collecion of people on moldies, very few 'buggered off' in order to FORM moldies. Many had drifted off long time ago, or had left at different times becaue of upsets or discomforts, or were simply catching up with folk they hadn't seen on MN for a while. Loads had left or dwindled from MN ages ago...with very few people having registered that they had gone!! It was never a deliberate 'leave in order to set up competitive site' dynamic,I don't think. (having not been there during it's establishment)

SmilleysPeople · 01/01/2009 23:21

I have a small idea.

Why don't the Moldies who want to stay MNers agree, in a spirit of cooperation and healing, to not post on this thread, but if they wish to quietly continue thier business posting on bf, pregnancy, waening, chat, whatever, threads they want.

This may help the flames to die down and for things to move on, which they will, even if it doesn't feel like it right now.

Just a thought.

soapbox · 01/01/2009 23:21

You go to the wilki page and at the top is a tab which says 'history'. Click on the tab and a list of edits are given. Click your way through the ones made today. If you can't see the changes, then you can compare current to previous, which highlights the changes.

BALD · 01/01/2009 23:22
'They are so up their own arses it is unbeleivable and need to accept that not everyone likes them. Hence their bitter dismay about the Moldies site that has upset them for a whole week. Peachy is just as crap and needs a Life if anyoe has opne availBLE.'

This was one of the postings on Wiki today; if you click on the history tab it shows a 'compare' section with the differing edits, this one and two others from today I think [not v techy]

TWINSETinapeartree · 01/01/2009 23:22

Aitch I am not saying it should be an either or thing, it is just very odd to see you popping back onto this thread to rake things up again.

It is not a moldie things I have been chatting away to Expat on a number of threads, have spoken to another moldie by email several time during this episode.

controlfreakyhohohohohohoho · 01/01/2009 23:23

exactly sp. i think the desire to post on this particular thread is......? because they can? cant think of any other valid reason.

NotanOtter · 01/01/2009 23:23

very good thinking smilie

Quattrocento · 01/01/2009 23:24

It's not fair to the moldies to tell them where they can or cannot post. Also of course it is not enforceable. But I do agree with you SP that it is the way of letting the subject die a natural death.

SoupDragon · 01/01/2009 23:24

Oh what a splendid idea, SmilleysPeople, then everyone else can all continue bitching and whining whilst the Moldies are confined to a ghetto

controlfreakyhohohohohohoho · 01/01/2009 23:24

that is terrible BALD. bloody hell.

TWINSETinapeartree · 01/01/2009 23:25

sophable I used to have some hammertime trousers in gold, I often when I pause to reflect on the fact I must have looked a complete twat

controlfreakyhohohohohohoho · 01/01/2009 23:25

what ghetto? every other thread on mn??

Monkeytrousers · 01/01/2009 23:26

OMG, Lockets hello! You got your internet connection back then??

Anyways - I love it that moldies would stay on here. Even though I was ?snubbed? by them. I don?t feel snubbed. Those that do, do, but they don?t speak for all of us. And I mean that generally. What I want from MN is a sounding board for ideas ? sp0metimes not fully formed ideas. Debating on here against various voices helps me test what I think I know. If anyone thinks I?m patronising to others they should hear me with myself. I want to hear from people who disagree with me (constructively) ? it?s how I learn things. That kind of conflict is co-operation for me. As long as it obeys set rules of logic and is, or tries to be, constructive. Sceptical over cynical.

Twinsiet, sorry, I was just responding to your comment, I knew it wasn?t directed as me.

Like I said on another thread recently, some peoples stress response seems to be set on the hair trigger at the moment. I can only say it is up to these people to think twice before jumping to the worst conclusion. Most people have benign intentions. The minority can whistle surely?

I have had one too many black russians tonight...:P

NotanOtter · 01/01/2009 23:26

LOVING THE WIKI PAGE

LOL LOL LOL

TWINSETinapeartree · 01/01/2009 23:26

Can I just say how much I love my dp, he has just made up a little cheeseboard for me with a little lovenote.

Quattrocento · 01/01/2009 23:26

Erm, ghetto? Bit extreme and inappropriate that. Resonance of the many jewish ghettos etc

BALD · 01/01/2009 23:26

I know. Having another rummage for you, hang on.

SoupDragon · 01/01/2009 23:26

god, I really have had enough of all this. Hopefully if I come back in a month or two everyone will have stopped behaving so utterly childishly and disgracefully. Both sides.

Aitch · 01/01/2009 23:26

i'm not appearing on here to rake things up, any more than you are, twinset. it's not goodies v baddies. i am really not understanding this any more.

SmilleysPeople · 01/01/2009 23:27

No not enforcable, it would have to be with Moldies agreement.

maybe a small thing they could do it the spirit of reconciliation?

the whole rest of MN is hardly 'a ghetto' is it SD? Let's nt exaggerate.

and I think you'll find as has happened several times, when the moldies disappear form this thread the bitching peters out.

controlfreakyhohohohohohoho · 01/01/2009 23:27

oooh. can you get him to do me one? (the cheese, not the note...)

Heathcliffscathy · 01/01/2009 23:27

so much so aitch that you are are speaking like george bush!!!! pmsl at not understanding.

NotanOtter · 01/01/2009 23:28

'confined to a ghetto' ??? you like your ghetto dont you?

SoupDragon · 01/01/2009 23:28

What would be better, SmilleysPeople, would be if everyone agreed to stop going on about it and then MN could get back to normal.

But I don't care any more.
