This thread is a continuation of this one. That one had become too big for its own boots the system to handle.

Of course it isn't. f Mn is the demographic place it's cracked up to be, that would be against the whole ethos. Wouldn;t it?

It would be a very dull place if we all agreed with each other all of the time.

Monkeytrousers · 01/01/2009 20:37

That was in response to QC

southeastastra · 01/01/2009 20:38

i was actually really cool in school and slept with all the sixth formers

VeniVidiVickiQV · 01/01/2009 20:39

Have missed you MT

am going to change my name as of this evening. IF anyone is interested in knowing the change, then cat me by all means. But I'm not going to say on the board.

TTFN.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 01/01/2009 20:39

You'd have been a curious creature at my all-girls school SEA

southeastastra · 01/01/2009 20:40

how awful to have gone to an all girls school though

Monkeytrousers · 01/01/2009 20:40

VVV can you CAT me please. I can't use it but can receive messages

expatinscotland · 01/01/2009 20:41

Ugggh, couldn't be bothered sleeping with high school boys. Eeek. What a bunch of amateurs.

ilovelovemydog · 01/01/2009 20:41

I went to a Catholic all girls school! It was fab

Monkeytrousers · 01/01/2009 20:42

Oh god expat; you were jailbait?

Paperchase · 01/01/2009 20:44

School? SCHOOL?! You people went to school?

I had to make do with a roof slate an a stick, and learning to read from the signs the motorway what I lived under. Y'don't know ye're born.

southeastastra · 01/01/2009 20:44

there is nothing better than watching them playing rugby or football when you're 15

this is probably why i failed lots of o levels though

TotalChaos · 01/01/2009 20:45

VVV - I don't have CAT either to send messages.

expatinscotland · 01/01/2009 20:46

Nah, I waited till I was 16, MT. High-school doesn't start in the US until you're 14, and when I was 15 I went to France for a year.

What's teh age of consent in France?

expatinscotland · 01/01/2009 20:47

'there is nothing better than watching them playing rugby or football when you're 15'

Oh, no, no, no.

There is nothing better than: a) he has his own apartment b) he has his own car or motorbike c) he has his own money d) he can buy alcohol when you're 15. Or 16. Or thereabouts.

Heathcliffscathy · 01/01/2009 20:47

I am a moldie. As soon as I discovered what the set up was and the nomination process I started a couple of (very unpopular) threads on moldies predicting that mners would be hurt to be excluded and that the nomination process was, erm, difficult to say the least. I was pretty roundly flamed for them! I probably should have left. I didn't because there are some ex mners that I love that I wouldn't be in contact with if I didn't stay. And because frankly it is nice to be in, it hasn't happened to me much in life! even though i have a strong sense that there are several moldies that wish I wasn't on there :D

I have never and would never veto a nomination however strongly I felt about a person. I suppose that is how in some small part I reconcile myself with having stayed on there. however I totally get why people feel fucked off. I would be.

having said that there is nothing at all stopping anyone from setting up a splinter board. and mn will never stop being the mothership for me at least.

ruty · 01/01/2009 20:50

you are one of the people i have missed here in recent months sophable and wondered where you are.

Heathcliffscathy · 01/01/2009 20:51

tbh i haven't decamped ruty. i'm as much on here as there, more actually. i just haven't been posting as much....i seem to have developed a someone late ability to self censor!!!! i often start a post and then scrub it out!

i'm totally still here.

lou031205 · 01/01/2009 20:51

Thank you for that sophable, nice to see some honesty.

southeastastra · 01/01/2009 20:52

i did that when i was 17 expat it ended in tears, obviously that's where i went wrong [hehe] oh but i have some great memories

ruty · 01/01/2009 20:53

hyaven't seen you around! Some other Mers i have missed to but am afraid to list them for fear of outing them.

expatinscotland · 01/01/2009 20:56

oh, south, my motto was: if at first you don't succeed, try, try again (and again and again and again if you like it) .

"There is nothing better than: a) he has his own apartment b) he has his own car or motorbike c) he has his own money d) he can buy alcohol when you're 15. Or 16. Or thereabouts."

My first boyfriend had a car. My parents hated it I remember my dad driving around the village one night looking for us, convinced we were up to no good.

He drove past us while we were pulled up in a lay by near the cemetary having sex in the car.

Ooops.

So I think that a) is the best!!
