In a flurry of forward planning we're thinking ahead to January and would like to know your New Year resolutions (as long as they don't include spending less time on MN ). Thank you in advance.

Make more of my own bread.

Spend less money on clothes.

To not regain the weight that I've lost.

NickiSue · 03/12/2008 09:41

Lose four stone so I can get my pcos back in control and hopeful conceive no 2.
Drink more water.
Set aside a morning a week purely for paperwork.

Not very exciting but will make huge differences to our lives!

Find a job (preferably a rewarding and fulfilling one).

Make sure I become indispensable in my new job so I don't get made redundant again.

Save loads to make up for my shrinking pension fund.

Be more organised on a daily basis.

Write more letters (or emails) to distant friends.

mine is to concentrate on getting ready to emigrate to Australia - house packing, starting citizenship process.

And to seriously start ttc DC no.2

paow · 03/12/2008 12:41

Be nice to DH and try to nag less!

VinegarTinselTits · 03/12/2008 13:25

To stop eating doughnuts

I just scoffed down 2 jam and cream ones while sat in Morrisons carpark, like it was some secrective mission i was on (donning black leather gloves, with head down and eyes shifting all over the place)

whats wrong with me!

bandgeek · 03/12/2008 14:00

To tone up, especially my jelly belly
Walk more
Stop spending money on crap
Build up my self esteem and generally start liking myself a bit better

JacksFirstChristmasMama · 03/12/2008 16:35

I'm keeping some from the last few years.

To take better care of myself. That includes taking naps and arranging for "me-time".
To say no when I really mean no.
To spend more time with people I really like and not waste my time with the ones I don't care for that much.

New ones:
To be kinder to DH.
To focus more on my work when I'm there (as I only work half-time that should be achievable but I have a 9 1/2 month old baby and so, often, when I'm at work, my mind isn't all there)
To eat better (shop for healthier food and cook more)
To keep in touch more with my girlfriends.
To let go of stored-up resentments.

FrannyandZooey · 03/12/2008 17:17

to have less sex

oh no hold on that's not right

FrannyandZooey · 03/12/2008 17:21

to try to end 2009 not looking 5 months pregnant

unless i am 5 months pregnant, of course

BrownSuga · 03/12/2008 18:43
  • Let myself enjoy my very good life and let myself be happy
  • Spend more time with my DS and be involved in what he is exploring/learning/doing (in fact I'm starting that one now)
MooandPops · 03/12/2008 18:46

thumbElf · 03/12/2008 22:08

southeastastra · 03/12/2008 22:09

Waltzywotzy · 03/12/2008 22:59

To eat less, sleep more and do everything else in moderation.

macwoozy · 04/12/2008 09:21

To give up nicorettes, I've been chewing for years now and I'm on about 15 a day, totally addicted to them.

AttillaTheSaHanTa · 04/12/2008 09:37

To make some time for me in the week which doesn't involve trying to catch up on sleep.

To move more and eat less.

VaginaMonologues · 04/12/2008 09:52

To Mumsnet more, obviously ...
