Trans identified Mumsnet member AidaP is scraping Mumsnet

BambooLampshade · 28/04/2026 21:34

Hi Mumsnet, though you should know that a trans identified man - who often posts on Mumsnet as @aidap - is scraping the feminimism board, in order to create some sort of grading system.

It's basically electronic stalking.

What is this?

Oh yes, I have downloaded most of mumsnet and we will be doing embeddings of the content to try to understand how does the rot and hate builds and spreads.

I never had so much hate and delusion on my hard drive before 😅

He’s a bit obsessed with MN, isn’t he?

It’s because he wants to be us.

👏 so well said. It’s not accepted anywhere else and would be called out immediately if directed at any other group in society.

I don’t condone the behaviour of the user being reported here but I can’t understand how Mumsnet allows such hate on a mainstream site.

So the behaviour of the user concerned is a man who has made threats to use a splintery rolling pin to sexually assault women who dare to disagree with him (and in fact added his own link to the threat in question on a board, on this website) but you 'cannot believe that Mumsnet allows such hate' in terms of women calling men, well, men.

Most people would have expressed rather more disapproval in considerably stronger terms for the first rather than the second, but you do you.

I think he’s making a list, and checking it twice.

Now I can't get the aria from The Mikado out of my head.

QAOPspaceman · 28/04/2026 23:18

Show us the hate.
“He’s a man”
”He’s got big hands”
Good luck at The Hague

Shitmonger · 28/04/2026 23:19

Unfortunately he generates engagement and MN has refused to ban him, so there’s the added issue of him getting off on being “supported” by MNHQ and allowed by them to be here harassing women. The “there’s nothing you can do about it” angle is extremely appealing to them and only encourages further harassment and trolling.

This site is full of hate for trans people. I've not seen the level of hate I see here anywhere else. The amount of comments I've seen saying that trans people are doing it as some sort of sexual fetish or as a way to perv on and abuse women is disgusting. That kind of stereotyping of any other minority group would be quickly shut down.
I won't be replying to any comments. I've learned from experience that any support for the trans community on the site leads to a pile on from people who are not interested in actual debate, they are too fixed in their views. Some with concerns they feel strongly about due to fear enticed by others. Some who are nothing but nasty bullies who have found a place where they can put down a whole community and not only get away with it, but be supported with it.

We're women. Who are not men. HTH.

Christ, how much more attention do people want to give this person?

They must be absolutely loving it.

It's not attention. It's sunlight.

He thinks that he is fighting a war and that he is on the "right side".

Once men are in that mentality they stop seeing people (especially women) as people and only as the enemy and therefore they don't have to behave respectfully towards them.

I am sure other people have actually already done this, but are not naive enough to broadcast it, and almost certainly people have done this to the Trans thread on reddit to exploit their users.

JaneJeffer · 28/04/2026 23:25

Ha ha ha way to fuck up your computer. Mumsnet barely works half of the time.

blacksax · 28/04/2026 23:29

Funny, isn't it, that someone who's so desperate to be a woman is so filled with loathing and contempt for the views of actual women.

I'm very much a supporter of equality for all. It just such a pity that some people think they are more equal than everybody else, and insist on riding roughshod over any opinion that doesn't align with their own.

Well if he’s not already banned and wanted to continue using MN, he’s hoist himself on his own petard by announcing his scraping as that’s very explicitly against the T&Cs

He's a stalker. It's gone beyond "what are they saying today" type stuff.

Remember, @aidap who Mumsnet still allow to be a poster here, said this:

And let's send a clear message to the world: fuck bigots and especially nazirowling with a splintery rolling pin 😘 We are here, proud and happy and not going anywhere 🌈🏳️‍⚧️🥳🥰

He's using a computer programme and downloading all the posts in all threads on the FWR board and getting a computer programme to do god knows what with the data in order to find out who knows what.

Meanwhile the gerbils who came into existence during the last data scrape are practising their new cheer.

LOL at the gerbils!

What do you mean by “find out who knows what”?

I meant I have no clue what information he is trying to find or for what purposes.

testmatchspecial · 28/04/2026 23:52

I think it’s slightly ironic to be told FWR posters have fixed views and refuse to debate by someone who has posted their view and refuses to debate.

He just wants to scold women. And has built a computer program to do that.

Frickin weirdo.

I think mumsnet really needs to think about where they draw a line and this may well be the moment. We (as in women users spot all the red flags) and mumsnet just seem to go all vague and elect to arbitrate, on the side of caution.

Due to past experiences of sponsor's

Sal Grover had a very hard line in Australia and is fighting it through the courts.

I don't think that is how it should be for this site.

but given the site is called “mumsnet” in light of the Supreme Court ruling there is a strong possibility that as a service they should not allow males because there service could be construed to be specifically for females, based on their sex based title.

Just saying….

Imo Mumsnet has been brilliant in holding the line for (actual) women, over the last decade or so.

However, I really think it is time for them to look at this guy @aidap and think about whether they let him continue to be a member of Mumsnet.

Given his reference to rolling pins, is it actually safe to allow him access to this board for goodness knows what reasons?

Exactly. Anyway, I have now told Mumsnet what he is up to.

In my opinion, his behaviour is escalating.

Some men do dress up as women in order to perve, and some have Autogynephilia. Its just a fact of life.

but it’s always been ‘by parents, for parents’ - and yet happy to accommodate non-parents, even has a board for MNers without kids too. Which IMO is fine.
And there’s really no way to verify a persons sex on a platform which (for very good reasons - women in coercive relationships etc) allows anonymity.
