Trans identified Mumsnet member AidaP is scraping Mumsnet

Hi Mumsnet, though you should know that a trans identified man - who often posts on Mumsnet as @aidap - is scraping the feminimism board, in order to create some sort of grading system.

It's basically electronic stalking.

What is this?

Oh yes, I have downloaded most of mumsnet and we will be doing embeddings of the content to try to understand how does the rot and hate builds and spreads.

I never had so much hate and delusion on my hard drive before 😅

But at least two of the participants who were mocked for being trans turned out to be female.

You and I would agree on men in women's sports. Again that doesn't excuse targeting women who don't look feminine enough. There was a specific thread aimed at a (very good) club runner, who found the thread and ended up having to post further pictures to prove she was a woman.

You know the threads I'm talking about (and I know you know).

Edited

I have no idea what threads you're talking about, never read them, and am not aware of having seen them in the FWR list.

This site is full of hate for trans people. I've not seen the level of hate I see here anywhere else. The amount of comments I've seen saying that trans people are doing it as some sort of sexual fetish or as a way to perv on and abuse women is disgusting. That kind of stereotyping of any other minority group would be quickly shut down.
I won't be replying to any comments. I've learned from experience that any support for the trans community on the site leads to a pile on from people who are not interested in actual debate, they are too fixed in their views. Some with concerns they feel strongly about due to fear enticed by others. Some who are nothing but nasty bullies who have found a place where they can put down a whole community and not only get away with it, but be supported with it.

This!

From the look of OP's posts, AidaP is a mentally unwell Mumsnet user who is doing something weird with other people's posts and should almost certainly be banned.
Nothing particularly controversial there.
But to extrapolate AidaP's behaviour to the wider trans community is bigoted and nonsensical hysteria. AidaP does not represent trans people as a whole and their behaviour cannot be used to support arguments about trans matters.
Therefore bland statements such as 'and that's why we need our safe spaces' are meaningless in this context.
It would be lovely if any debate about trans people were reasoned and fair. This post is just another opportunity for people to spew hate.

Why is it that pro-trans/anti-women posters all use the same hatefully misogynistic tropes, almost like codewords or a callsign, while claiming us women are the 'bad ones' for seeing the nature of the male sex? From @Ollldy78 's "screamy-little-girl energy" and their and your use of hysteria/hysterical, all you left out was 'screeching' and 'shrill'. I wonder if there is no self awareness. Do either of you ever stop to consider that you might be the baddies here? Genuine question btw, not snark or attack.

Same here. Never saw that in FWR which is where I mostly post. I find it difficult to believe it's true, but I rarely go into places like Style and Beauty

I remember one thread and I also remember many people, including myself, saying that guessing about someone's sex with no proof either way, was wrong and the opening post accusation was nasty. I fail to see how that thread is an example of trans bullying behaviour when the majority was telling the OP to stop and defending the athlete in question.

I for one am very glad sex testing has been reintroduced so that women can rely on sporting associations to ensure fair and safe sports.

Complaining about posters behaviour while using reaction emojis to bully posters is rather hypocritical I would have thought. Perhaps you really aren’t a good judge on what is reasonable behaviour and what is not.

Not my recollection.

However it may be worth you checking the party line, which is clearly that these threads don't happen at all.

So it was the trans people who made you mock those women?

Please can you show me where I have mocked anyone?

My party line is that unless you provide a link you are lying.

You are being a bit daft here with the "party line" rubbish. Just because we (general) didn't see it doesn't mean it didn't exist, but to say it was regular FWR posters who made the thread is a bit of a reach don't you think?

I remember that thread. It was awful - the poor woman in question found the thread and was quite upset if I remember correctly?
Feeling the need to prove herself 😓
It was definitely an FWR one with regular names on it.

Dragonscaledaisy · Yesterday 10:49

AStonedRose · Yesterday 09:55

These weren't men though, by and large. They turned out to be women. There was one poor women who found the thread on which she was being slaughtered for her appearance, and had to post her wedding photos to prove she was not trans.

At least two of the supposedly 'trans' people on Blind Dates actually turned out to be women.

But you're fine with that.

If true, this is absolutely shocking and quite frankly disgusting.

It's already been said (I think) that it was deleted?
It was allowed to stand for absolutely ages though, long enough for the person in question to find it, join the thread and be upset at all the posts.
Even that didn't stop it though and there was still more posts forthcoming before it (finally) went.

I don't think we do 'party lines' here and as the saying goes 'recollections may vary'.

Thankfully with sporting organisations finally respecting the female category this kind of speculation will stop and women don't need to be hyperalert to being gaslighted and lied to.

Now changing rooms, prisons and toilets next.

DeanElderberry · Yesterday 10:59

When was this? In the last week, the last year, the last decade? Which regular FWR posters were on it?

I would probably have ignored something about sport or about the Guardian, so didn't see it, but also don't remember any discussion of it.

womendeserveequalhumanrights · Yesterday 10:59

I'd definitely have ignored anything about Blind Date - I hate those shows.

I’ll give you all the gift that keeps on giving.

genitourinary syndrome of menopause. Aka. 2 seconds notice that you need to pee RIGHT NOW or you wet yourself.

It is just great.

Oestrogen cream. It really makes a difference to frequency, etc.

The Blind Dates thread was maybe a couple of weeks ago.

The club runner thread, maybe last year? I don't keep a record of these things.

Certain regulars were all over them. Tbf, the club runner thread was fairly balanced, as i recall it, with some people arguing that it was disgusting, and others 'the trans people made us do it'.

As I and others have noted, the threads have been deleted, but they were allowed to stand for ages.

Helleofabore · Yesterday 11:03

We probably also need a definition of ‘mocking someone’s appearance’ too. As opposed to discussing whether there are observable male body cues that would be an indicator that there may be an issue.

FormerCautiousLurker · Yesterday 11:04

Has that thread been deleted, perhaps? Can’t find any park run threads in FWR that seem to fit the claims, but I may be using the wrong key words in the advanced search. If there are people on ‘our’ side who are bullying, I’d like to see and take a view.

I know we are a mixed group, politically and in terms of our motivations, but I would hope I would call out bullying if I saw it. Despite what TRAs would say, that would even involve stepping in if I observed a transgender person being bullied or harassed in a public space as I ‘know they exist’ and believe their human rights are equal to mine in that they should be able to sit in a public space or park without targeted abuse… I just don’t want TWs in my loos/changing rooms/sports, my language policed, or my own rights overridden or eroded. And I don’t want this stuff in schools - anywhere at any time. I am fairly sure that the posters I have interacted with here for the last 2 years feel largely the same.

So posters weren't mocking, they were transvestigating.

Not a great defence tbh.
