What is going on with the app on Iphone?

Not only is it incredibly laggy and keeps freezing/crashing,certain features won’t work unless I refresh or leave a thread and rejoin ,but it also messes up my phone. It gets hot incredibly quickly, brightness goes down , it freezes and it drains the battery. It’s becoming impossible to use for more than 10 minutes at a time. This doesn’t happen with any of my other apps.

It’s incredibly annoying, as I quite like a bit (A LOT) of MN during quiet times and now usage is very limited , but the phone is also useless for a bit .

I’m on an Iphone 13 mini and everything is up to date.

Website is also terrible. Keeps freezing and I have to close the tab and reopen. I’m pretty sure it’s all the ads causing it. It’s ridiculous

Loaded fine for me just now in latest iPad version

Same thing happens on updated version where you’re typing away but the message box stays blank and you have to exit and reopen the thread

I’ve maybe had one or two glitches but seems a lot better after the update. (iPad, I’ve not been using the phone app recently)

I find the lack of functionality (no see next for OP posts??) very annoying in the app, especially when the mobile browser site is so awful. Come on Mumsnet, make the site useable!

I find it easy enough to filter the OPs posts and read through them, is that not essentially doing the same thing?

at least the colours aren’t horrible like the browser at the moment!
