Anyone else getting a recurrence of the constant freezing, crashing, pages not loading that was happening a while back?

It’s really bad. I have to keep shutting down and restarting my IPad.

Oh yes. It’s been bad for weeks, freezes ipad, drains battery, I cannot navigate back to google after Mumsnet, have to quit the page by swiping up, then reloading Safari. Fed up with it!

LivMumsnet · 31/05/2025 16:25

Sorry to hear this - is it only happening on the ipad?

AthenaWhite · 31/05/2025 17:08

I'm on a laptop and the pages load so slowly, just whirling for ages. No problems on any other sites.

Ddakji · 31/05/2025 17:09

I don’t have pages any more, just infinite scrolling which I hate. And it appears to veer between me be signed in and signed out. I’m on an iPhone using safari.

flapjackfairy · 31/05/2025 19:38

I am finding when I click on a thread I am on it goes straight to the last post and when I scroll back it keeps whizzing forward to.the end again rather than rejoining the thread where it left off. If that makes sense.

OnTheBoardwalk · 31/05/2025 19:48

Thought it was just me! On iPad keeps jumping to add post not watch thread until I reload the page

very jumpy on other actions as well. Ok with all other sites

You can ask to opt out of that and have your pages back.

Treesarenotforeating · 07/06/2025 15:34

I’m on iPhone and it’s bloody awful
freezing, slow to load , barely usable at times

NanTheWiser · 07/06/2025 16:48

Agree, problems are still ongoing. Really dreadful.

Treesarenotforeating · 07/06/2025 17:23

And it stuffs up other web pages
come on mnhq do something it’s 💩

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 08/06/2025 11:16

Glad to hear it’s not just me. This is exactly what’s happening on my iPhone

BellaVita · 08/06/2025 11:20

Yes, it’s very annoying!

Fannyy · 09/06/2025 01:00

Yes. Very slow in iPhone

JohnTheRevelator · 09/06/2025 01:04

Constantly over the last few weeks. I'm on an android phone. And he's anyone else had the issue with not being able to edit a post? It happens about 50% of the time,no matter how often you click on the word 'edit post',it just won't allow it!

knowifIcando · 09/06/2025 01:08

I thought my iPad was broke!

HermioneWeasley · 09/06/2025 07:36

@LivMumsnet the site still isn’t loading properly. Is there an update?

Custark · 09/06/2025 07:41

Last few days has been the worst on both ipad and iPhone. Both get very hot after a while, battery drains, freezes, especially on long threads. I think it’s from constantly loading the ads and images.

LoveFreshSheets · 09/06/2025 07:50

Same here, I use safari on iPhone (the app is worse)
Pages freeze, then jump, laggy typing, phone gets hot trying to process everything, battery drain is ridiculous.
I only read one or 2 threads and I’ve had enough.
The ads are a pain …. Did anyone ever buy anything off an ad EVER 🤷🏼‍♀️ what a waste of money that must be

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 09/06/2025 08:07

Yes, I’d forgotten about my phone getting really hot. I mean it’s so frustrating to browse the site at the moment that it does make me go and read a book instead which is probably better for me in the long run, but if I want to rot my brain on the internet I should be able to darn it!

RaraRachael · 09/06/2025 08:08

Not freezing etc but I'm having to bookmark every single thread I go on as it won't refresh to the most recent

MolluscMonday · 09/06/2025 08:10

Yep. Iphone on Safari. Phone getting hot, battery tanking, pages blank and/or reloading. It’s all the ads.

notimagain · 09/06/2025 08:24

On iPad with Safari I've found it's been unuseable for what is starting to feel like almost forever.

Better on phone/Android but have the fast scrolling issue others have described..

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 09/06/2025 08:28

Google informs me that iOS represents around 48.5% of UK mobile operating system market share, so it’s probably worth making sure the site performs ok on iOS devices

ScrambledSmegs · 09/06/2025 08:37

Yes - ever since the forced adblocker removal. The only reason I had an adblocker in the first place was because it was the only thing that stopped Mumsnet glitching.
