How do I rewind to the old app! Just can’t get on with this.

The amount of advertising is annoying, and very in your face.

Yes the white background is awful. At least I can filter on the OP responses now though.

I have bookmarked a post by the OP. On the old Mumsnet app if selected OPs post only I could see which OP post I had bookmarked but on the new one I can’t see it. So I have to look at the date and time of the bookmark and then select see the OP’s posts and work it out from there.

This new app is beyond horrible. It’s as though a 22-year-old boy were deliberately trying to troll us by removing the most desirable parts of the old app.

Can you put notifications back on like this so I can actually find peoples replies and tags without my phone pinging constantly

On the whole, it’s ok. But…I need to get the background changed and i really want to change the colours.

@mumsnetis there a way to remove threads that have been deleted from your watchlist? It just gives me an error message. Thanks

Another one having issues with bookmarks - they're not working at all. I've just had to wade through nearly 300 posts on a thread to find where I'd got to.

I also HATE the white background, and the fact that I can no longer choose which posts are in which colour. It's awful!

Why did they make it so blindingly white? Weird decision. I prefer having eyeballs personally.

Not being able to select text is rubbish - not only for quoting a small amount of a long post, but also for being able to look up words/names easily.

bookmarks seem to be a law unto themselves, and paragraphs aren’t capitalising the first letter <—-

the old app wasn’t great, but it was better than this mess. I’m now finding I’m reluctant to open Mumsnet, which is good for my productivity I suppose!

Also commenting to say how much I dislike the new changes I've seen so far.
The white background is the worst one of all quickly followed by the changes to the reverse thread function.

I think I’ll withdraw, it’s too difficult now to follow a thread. Really don’t I set stand why they had to change things. If it ain’t broke, leave it alone.

You can just use the Internet and not an App.. that's easy to navigate .

i dont like that as im scrolling on my phone, i either hit an advert that opens in my safari, or i scroll down and it pops up the comment bar - it's highly inconvenient as i usually use this app when ive been woken during the night.

I've now turned off notifications because I'm getting repeatedly notified of old posts on threads I'm watching

Ohhhh, was hoping for this thread! I’m really not vibing with the new app.

I hate the way you can no longer just ‘flip’ the thread. You used to just press the arrows and it would bring you to the latest posts. Now youve to select the arrows, choose Newest First, and it still comes up under the OP and just isn’t as user friendly as before.

like above, you now can’t ‘flip’ if you’ve filtered by OP posts only. It was so easy to filter by OP and just flip to their last post… now that’s not even an option anymore! It’s a pain.

Dont like how the bottom nav (Active | I’m On etc) disappears when you’re in a thread now, used to be able to easily toggle over and back.

The primarily white background, as opposed to the old blue, is garish and hurts my eyes!

Im sure there’s more… but I’m really not loving the updated version

I quite like it except for the ‘flip to newest comments first’ as mentioned by a pp, two actions now needed and I use this feature a lot. The white background is a little harsh but I’ve got used to it. It’s nice to be able to vote but suspect the novelty will wear off.

I hate:

1. white background, makes my eyes hurt
2. flip now needs extra clicks
3. flip OP’s posts is now impossible

Oh, another thing I really dislike… you used to be able to click on ‘Active’ or ‘I’m On’ etc twice and it would bring you to the top of the series of threads.

Am I missing something that I now need to scroll alllll the way back up to refresh the thread?

Agree with comments above - I preferred the old app
