How do I rewind to the old app! Just can’t get on with this.

Chiming in here although I am sure there will be many other threads / comments on this somewhere. The 'flip to last comments first' function is seriously pissing me off as it requires two actions to do it now, instead of one (press the up/down arrows AND THEN have to select 'newest first').

Agree. No warning about forthcoming change made me fear it was some sort of scam.
and now it’s here I really don’t like the new format. It looks cluttered, and I agree about the flip to last issue. Unnecessary and frustrating.

The white background is awful. My eyes ache.

@RenoDakotaabsolutely agree! It’s a stupid feature they’ve added.
I do like that you can now see if any new comments have been posted to threads you are on though.

Minimum we need a dark mode!! Lots of actions seem to take longer

also I keep unfollowing topics instead of going into them

Oh and although I set newest first in setting a I am having to manually flip

Like many people, I’m sure, I scroll with phone held in one hand. In the old version I could use my thumb to click back on active as it was bottom left. But now it’s top left my thumb won’t reach so I have to keep adjusting the hold which breaks the flow

I'm so confused where are the notifications and there seems to be no order to threads it's just a load of random ones as before they where all seperate i also don't like the bright white

I don’t like the change to two steps to see the latest post on a thread. I used to just click on the up/down arrows in top right to reverse the thread. Now I click on the arrows, get asked whether I want oldest first or newest first and have to click on that. Senseless. The two arrows worked fine.
there is something not right with the design of the display. It’s not conducive to scrolling through and reading the whole thread which, as we know, is essential. I can’t put my finger on it but I’m getting irritated by the layout and losing patience.

No limit to 'Active Threads', obviously to encourage more mindless scrolling. I used to say 'I'll go through to the bottom then get on with whatever task I need to do', now I just avoid opening the app in the first place to avoid wasting my time.

Bookmarking doesn't work, open a thread you were following and you have to start from the beginning.

Also can't find how to watch a thread while I've got it open.

And I've just tried to scroll back up Active to get to this and it's glitch and all of the threads are in a different order now. Had to go through 'I'm On'.

I just want to go back to the old app; I can’t get on with this one at all. Old one was simple to use. Also font size is messed up on this new version

The adverts seem more intrusive too.

You can change to black and orange via your phone settings if you have an iPhone. It’s still not great at all but it’s a definite improvement on the startling white.

I’m not keen on the new bookmarking. Previously the swipe and bookmark icon were both on the right. Now it’s the three dots on the right and bookmark is then towards the left of the screen.

Edited to add - I also don’t like that you can’t easily go back to the top of active without scrolling, and I agree with the annoying process to flip the order of posts

Not sure if I like this new layout or it’s just taking some getting used to. It’s more like the website which is why I use the app in the first place

stop asking me when I flip a thread if I want oldest first. Of course I do otherwise I wouldn’t be flipping

Can someone reply to this message please as not having the notifications in the right hand corner is confusing me and I want to see what happens

The typeface is bloody awful.

The boldness of each thread title with little separation with the next thread title is really hard to read in list view.

What's happened to the bookmarking keeping your place on a watched thread, for me on android it's not taking you back to where you were . It's just taking you to the top again.

And we can’t go back unless we use the active link on the top. Having it at the bottom like before is much better so that we can do it with one hand only……
