Option to see 25 posts per page has gone.

I can only see lots of posts with an option to load more.

On safari, iPhone 6, customised settings are set to 25 per page.

I'm still seeing the infinite scrolling. Now I know it's because I'm in a test group and not just a dreadful decision that everyone had been subjected to by your design team it's even more frustrating. I'm getting more and more annoyed at this mess and want to leave the site over it. Please remove me and reinstate the page system.

I completely agree, I have asked several times to be removed from the test group, it is so frustrating! Do we need to start a new thread just to get something done about it?!

Why on earth did Mumsnet trial this getting rid of the 25 pages ? How does scrolling down endlessly make it enjoyable or useful to us?

I don't understand why anyone would want 25 posts per page, to be honest. I find it really annoying having to keep reloading or having to look through loads of pages if I want to find a particular post. Scrolling down isn't a problem, you can just hit control and end together.

If you don't understand - maybe try reading some of the 12 pages (!) from people who hate it. That might help your understanding even if your preference is different.

Have you tried it on mobile? The scrolling version is impossible to use in my phone’s browser app

Morning, everyone. We've got a list of everyone who has asked to be removed since we last posted and we'll get you taken off as soon as possible.

@aiskabash Can we ask if you're still on the infinite scrolling as far as you can tell? We've removed you from the test group more than once but it sounds like you're still there. We have had this difficulty with a couple of users but have got there in the end. Let us know how it is for you now and we'll take another look if necessary. Thanks for your patience.

Hi again @aiskabash . Ah, apologies - we hadn't realised you were talking about the app here. The app is and always has been 'infinite scroll'. Pages aren't recognised in the app we're afraid.

But we have taken you out of the test group so if you want to use the main site on your phone rather than the app you'll be able to choose how many pages you want to see in your settings.

Can I please be removed from this endless scrolling and have the option of 25 pages back ?

Android phone login via the internet

Today the "by page" has been replaced by a scroll which hides older posts and the click option only displays some of the hidden posts.

With the old layout I could click on page X
Eg
Page 12 for posts that were say under 3 days old
Page 34 for posts that were say under 2 days amd
Page 50 onward for current day posts
And guess a page to try find an am/pm post on a given day

The current system has no post number displayed so limited abilty to estimate where an old post may be or find a post number within a thread

So my only option is to click and scroll then click scroll and . ...... through 999 posts

My emoji notification icons dont work they dump me in the middle of the thread and/or go down to the add your message here box.

I got my old page layout back today but the pages keep crashing

DREADFUL!!’ If this continues I foresee a mass exodus leaving MN. You may be copying whats in vogue across other internet forums, but you certainly aren’t testing your true demographic if thats the feedback you’re getting.

If you could let us know what device and browser you're using and tell us exactly what you're doing when the thread crashes, that would be helpful. I pm the device and 1 thread i was on yesterday and today and its using google
Pm if you need extra details

Yesterday and I think early this morning I had the page 1-10 etc layout.
But am back in load by clicking the button mode

I am ticked for always logged on

The default display was
first post
Load older post ( LOP )
And some of todays posts

I was
a) just reading back over the thread
Or
b),Trying to post so
Typing in rhe trying to check details and copy and or link to
So reading from the second post onwards.

So I would click LOP and it would open some of the older posts but not all
Continue to click and the screen would add extra posts until the 2nd post appeared or

randomly

1. white out displaying no posts • do an auto refresh or • I would have to do a manual refresh Or
2. jump back to the post box and reset to the default display.

I got a couple of blue boxes with messages
But cant remember the text.

And if I needed find a post to copy& paste / link I ended having the same thread opened on two independant tabs/ screens to quote a post.

Both tabs worked and crashed independent of each other.

The refresh would break the quoted posts link to the text input post box

And at one stage with two tabs the cut/copy/paste popup stopped working on one screen but not the other.
