Pop-up advert that won’t go away.

I keep getting Siemens advert pop up randomly, and despite having an x in the corner it doesn’t often work.

I always thought pop ups weren’t quite in the spirit of the site 😏

Morning, everyone. We have had this ad blocked so it shouldn't still be appearing. Can we ask everyone to clear their cookies again? That should fix it but if not please do let us know.

Use Brave browser. It automatically blocks most adverts and tracking cookies.

Screenshot today. Cookies cleared this morning - which tbh is a complete pita and yet still I'm getting the bloody advert.

Although I've just read the advert and never realised Siemens were terfs 😂

Same here. I turned off ad blocker, cleared everything and I've had it about 6 times since. It doesn't appear fixed.

Twice on one thread here today. I’ve been recording the screen but of course it doesn’t come up then!

Thanks to everyone who's posted screenshots and URLs for these ads - and sorry they've been such a problem of late. We've (hopefully!) blocked the ones that were misbehaving by now, but please let us know if any are still cropping up.

Still getting it, about 15 mins ago. I have cleared cookies etc once and that’s a right pain so I don’t want to do it again if the ad is still going to pop up all the time!

Hi @BlueyTuesdays . Unfortunately, without clearing cookies the ad may still continue to pop up. We know it's a pain - sorry. Hopefully clearing them again should solve the issue.

Yup, it's back. I just don't really understand why this sort of thing happens on Mumsnet. It doesn't seem to happen on any other websites I use which have adverts.

Worse than ever today and yesterday.

I don't even understand what they are trying to sell me!

Just for the record, I did clear cookies for a second time the other day after reading @HebeMumsnet’s reply to Bluey, and I haven’t had the ad since. I was getting it a lot before.

If you are on an Apple device and have updated to the new os then you can make it vanish in a puff of smoke using the ‘hide distracting items’ function. It doesn’t stop it popping up but it is very pleasing.

Morning, everyone. Can we ask, those of you who were still seeing this ad yesterday, have you cleared cookies in the last few days? If not, could you do that and then try again? That should have the desired effect.

I cleared them again, which is really annoying, on 19.09 after reading the message to Bluey.

So was very frustrated to get them again on 21.09

Cleared them again this morning so will see how it goes.

I cleared them after the last Mumsnet message saying that the ad had been blocked.

So since 17th September when they were meant to have been shut off.

I cleared everything yesterday and I am still getting them.

Just popped up again, cookies cleared (again).
