okay while we're on the subject... when a thread has been long-running and covered many and various points of interest to the posters, clocking up a high number of posts in the process, you generally get some attention-seeking twit come on and say chortlingly 'i can't believe this is still goinig on, i've been out spending time with my kids lol'.

BECAUSE THEY BASICALLY CAN'T BE ARSED TO READ THE THREAD BUT MUST EXPLAIN HOW THEY ARE BETTER PARENTS FOR IT. see those people? they get reet on my teats, the lazy smug fuckers.

DJCod · 07/04/2008 12:13

hehehe like the waldorf salad ones

arf at aitches dullards comment... thats exactly my sentiments on the matter.

and i lold at WTs post about the (not) spoilt brat. didnt see that thread but yes, tiume loop threads likr that can be amusing, then v tiring and dullarama after a while

and re your last point aitch - its coz theyre so feckin amazed at themselves actually doing something in RL that they have to post about it. it was the first time they peel;ed themselves away fromt he screen in 2 and ahalf weeks - they dont mention that bit tho

VictorianSqualor · 07/04/2008 12:28

LOL Aitch.

Or 'I've been for a wee in that time!', How long does it really take to have a wee?

uttertripe · 07/04/2008 12:33

posting that youve been for a wee is really scraping the barrel.
if you are that hard up for material you really do need to get off the pc and go and interract with the world in some way

DJCod · 07/04/2008 12:34

or get a catheter

OP posts:
uttertripe · 07/04/2008 12:34

that was said with a

but i feel i use too many [gri]s

must be more judicious with my s

uttertripe · 07/04/2008 12:36

yeah... tho getting a catheter so you can stay on the pc might be one of those 'signs' people are looking for in those 'i think i may be addicted to mn' threads... possibly

alarkaspree · 07/04/2008 12:39

I think it depends on the thread a bit. I usually wouldn't post without reading the whole thread but I just have done on the one about foods you are not that keen on but will eat anyway. And I would if it was about eyeliner recommendations or something. I think it's a bit impolite to specifically point out that you haven't read the thread though.

VictorianSqualor · 07/04/2008 12:39

Fuck the catheter, just use a pot.

uttertripe · 07/04/2008 12:42

well VS, that is the cheaper method... with less chance of infection, tis true.

s'a bugger tho when you forget its there and kick it over. arf

VictorianSqualor · 07/04/2008 12:43

How would you kick it over?
You mean when you're dragged kicking and screaming away from the PC?
I don't move at any other time.

uttertripe · 07/04/2008 12:50

yeah well people approach now and then to bring you tea and food once a day or so... no? shit honey, you need better service.

VictorianSqualor · 07/04/2008 12:51

I can reach the fridge with a big stick and some thread.

Ew. Can you type with one hand, while balancing the laptop on your knee and wiping your bottom with the other hand, LL? Very dextrous.

VictorianSqualor · 07/04/2008 14:36

That is what bidets were invented for.

specialmagiclady · 07/04/2008 14:40

Yes I can! And I can wipe a child's bum at the same time... look!

PortAndLemon · 07/04/2008 14:43

The solution? (except it was a hoax... or was it...?)

Kewcumber · 07/04/2008 14:48

the point is it allows me the ability to pontificate wihout the effort of reading a pile of boring dross. Saves me the effort of pointing out that I am right and that everyone else is wrong. (Which is of course inevitably the case)

DJCod · 07/04/2008 14:49

lol too true
