miserable mumsnetters and MY mental health!

I love mumsnet or, at least, I did until recently...
but there are two posters who really give me the groan factor whenever I see their names appear..I know they are never going to say anything remotely positive about anything. And its irritating the way they try to focus the thread's attention on themselves with each post they make. Its really depressing to see their names crop half way through my enjoyment of reading a good debate or a chatty thread.
So my question is...can I block posts from these specific people so that I dont have to read their posts on a thread, at least until they change their name? At the moment, I can only avoid those threads that they start.

They really are depressing and if I didn't have to go to an enormous effort to try and avoid their clouds of doom and gloom because they weren't there to read, mumsnet would be easier and more enjoyable!

I'm sure she can't mean people who need help or who are unhappy. She must mean people who always have a downer on others, or their point of view in a debate. The op reads badly but no one could feel that way about people who are troubled.

Have to say, as the only person who think she may have been misunderstood as attacking unhappy people -- it's definitely NOT ME under a name change and coming back to stick up for myself....although I think she is a namechange, a few people have said so. However now I rather wish I hadn't got involved.

she is a namechanger, i just checked her name, only this message under it - TRIP TRAP TRIP TRAP

stuffitllama · 05/03/2008 20:43

ok well i don't get it
sticking up for someone who won't stick up for herself seems a bit pointless tbh
