And if not, it looks as though I've hidden it. Can anyone tell me how to unhide it?

@Orangefir We have no idea if there had been the one fitting or more than one fitting.
And being honest I think picking over the details of another woman's wedding in this way is pretty trashy.

This thread wouldn’t exist if the woman in question’s own husband could keep his silly trap shut.

BrushingDog · 09/01/2023 20:28

@cynthiasrevels I agree with your post. I wondered why the wedding was scheduled so close to Prince Louis of Wales' birth. Don't the RF have to align these important dates? Maybe H&M insisted that the wedding goes ahead so soon after the due date and weren't going to compromise?

Harry, please do shut up now. Enough of this petty nonsense. Focus on your wife and life and let everyone else get on with things. You won't change the media and you lucked out in that your wife is American and you can happily live there. Onwards and upwards.

"also wonder why if Megan was so stressed she didn't delegate dresses and wedding to some of her staff and maybe ask Kate to contact one of them and not her."

She did delegate it. To the tailor that was standing by at KP.

But sending a text explaining that left her in tears on the floor.

I was wondering why she didn't say Kate - I've got enough on at minute Karen's dealing with that could you please text her about wedding stuff - thanks.

But I think you knew that was what I meant - why not get some staff to deal with all the wedding stuff that was apparently stressing her out and focus on fun bits and the drama with her Dad and wider family.

ThePoshUns · 09/01/2023 20:29

@BradfordGirl Harry himself says there was no fitting. The dresses were made from measurements and the dresses arrived 4 days before the wedding. Piss poor planning if you ask me.
Incidentally, my flower girl had a dress from BHS and it was perfect

piedbeauty · 09/01/2023 20:29

Do you sew for children? You do know children grow?

Yes, @BradfordGirl, and that's why I'd have my first fitting more than four days before my wedding!!

Blossomtoes · 09/01/2023 20:29

JaneJeffer · 09/01/2023 20:18

I'm more interested in why everyone who hid the topic suddenly wants to see things that were posted in it.

I was wondering the same thing.

I am sure there were good reasons for that.

You know this was a petty incident before a wedding that you are all blowing up to a major incident. It really was not.

Headabovetheparakeet · 09/01/2023 20:31

@Blossomtoes and @JaneJeffer

I can't speak for others, but I was curious to know why it was removed and now I know there's a meme thread, I want to see it.

@JaneJeffer it’s the Mumsnet founder and the Daily Telegraph you need to tell - I’m just going off what they have been saying 😁

I'm sure they are aware of what was said versus what was published.

Surely it’s Harold who’s done that?

doory · 09/01/2023 20:32

was on the floor crying because of Kates response or the combo of public wedding/ill fitting dresses/dad

doory · 09/01/2023 20:33

Say what now? Actually don't bother.

At the risk of sounding super thick how did their private messages come out? Or have o missed something and it's a hoax?

BradfordGirl · 09/01/2023 20:33

FFS some of you really are pretty nuts and vile about total strangers. Justin is right.

It's in Harry's book

Were they worried about getting sued so had to do a load of deletions!

@cynthiasrevels are you saying Harry should have delayed their wedding because Kate had a baby? Or do you think they told her to drop the baby weight for the photos? 😆

When the wedding date was announced, I was fairly aghast as it was touch and go whether Kate would even be there! She could have had Louis late, William might have been at the birth, all sorts of issues might have arisen. It was really strange that they chose a date so close to her due date.

Anisina · 09/01/2023 20:35

Will we ever find out where they went?

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 09/01/2023 20:35

If that is true that is ridiculous. When DD was a bridesmaid I had her dress altered about a month before the wedding and I was panicking that that was cutting it fine.

Really…..wasn’t it MM bringing it up on the OW interview - 3 years after the event?

And then PH wrote about it in his book?

And then PH discusses in in interviews?

And HE wasn’t even there…..

Tamarindtree · 09/01/2023 20:36

Stop blaming any of the Royal Family for making Mumsnet take down the Royal Family Board!

It was the Taliban wot dun it! 😂

cynthiasrevels · 09/01/2023 20:36

A hilarious joke? But the point stands, if Harry and Meghan are extremely feminist and in tune with women's emotions... these were odd comments not least extremely silly and petty ones. If clarification is necessary, I was suggesting it's understandable that Kate was upset around trying to get her tiny child to be at a dress fitting at the very least, as she had a newborn. The advice around newborn women on mumsnet tends to be 'be as selfish as is humanly possible'.
