And if not, it looks as though I've hidden it. Can anyone tell me how to unhide it?

As someone who sews, I can't understand how these dresses never fit in the first place. They're no-expense-spared dresses made especially for the occasion, they should be near perfect first go.

Yes!!

JaneJeffer · 09/01/2023 20:18

I'm more interested in why everyone who hid the topic suddenly wants to see things that were posted in it.

I don't want to see what was posted in it. I want to know the reason it's disappeared.

I thought it was Justine, yes.

No it's defo Haydn Gwynne as Camilla from the Windsors.

Why is everyone suddenly taking what Harry is saying in his book as gospel? No-one has seen the text messages, only a DM mock-up

Don't worry we will soon get another version from a Royal source 😆

True. The palace claimed Meghan made Kate cry because Meghan did not want Charlotte to wear tights. Cue days of Royalists arguing on here that all 3 year olds should wear tights with bridesmaids dresses and bare legs are common.

The Palace will release another version.

MountedbyHarryWindsor · 09/01/2023 20:22

Justine seems to be u turning / giving in on a few things, I've noticed. Wonder why?

doory · 09/01/2023 20:23

@cynthiasrevels are you saying Harry should have delayed their wedding because Kate had a baby? Or do you think they told her to drop the baby weight for the photos? 😆

BradfordGirl · 09/01/2023 20:23

piedbeauty · 09/01/2023 20:20

Yes!!

Do you sew for children? You do know children grow?

MoscowMules · 09/01/2023 20:23

For the PP that said the dresses were better at Eugenie's wedding, absolutely agree.

Eugenie's wedding,is my all time favourite royal wedding 🥰

It was magnificent, it was perfection.

I preferred it to W&K's too. 🤣

Has The Royal topic been disappeared?

Aww, we were having fun in the teddy bear thread talking about our own childhood teddy bears! I want that thread back. 🥺

asblindasabat · 09/01/2023 20:23

TLDR, so I haven’t seen this whole thread.

can someone please tell me why the Royal Family board has been deleted? Is it going to be reinstated? I love checking in on it every so often to see what people were saying.

surely deleting it will just push people to talk about it on other boards, which seems frowned upon at the minute?

TheRedLip · 09/01/2023 20:23

The bridesmaids' dresses don't look like they've been properly fitted at all, certainly not fitted by a couture house. They honestly look like they've been bought off the peg from British Home Stores.

Cath667 · 09/01/2023 20:23

They're not screen shots!

Lightningfast · 09/01/2023 20:24

@JaneJeffer Yes, from the interview it seems that all the original separate threads got consolidated into one single thread.

BradfordGirl · 09/01/2023 20:24

British Home Stores!! I wish that store still existed if I could buy as nice off the peg dresses as those.

Dark forces are at work

tobee · 09/01/2023 20:24

@JaneJeffer and @Lightningfast maybe people are confusing "thread" and "topic board"? ie all royal/Harry and Meghan threads are being put on RF board instead of, say, aibu or chat?

Especially when you compare to the photo on here of Eugenie’s bridesmaids. They look scruffy and unpolished in comparison.

BradfordGirl · 09/01/2023 20:23

Do you sew for children? You do know children grow?

Hence why you need at least two fittings and not have the first one 4 days before the wedding

JaneJeffer · 09/01/2023 20:25

Lightningfast · 09/01/2023 20:24

@JaneJeffer Yes, from the interview it seems that all the original separate threads got consolidated into one single thread.

That's what I'm telling you, it's wrong!

BradfordGirl · 09/01/2023 20:25

@MoscowMules I actually think Camilla had the best wedding dress of all. She has a good styler.

WisteriaLodge · 09/01/2023 20:25

Whinge · 09/01/2023 18:39

Yes when they combined or deleted topics in the past MNHQ have always consulted users, and it's usually because traffic on those topics is slow.

Also it's really concerning that MNHQ didn't know it had been deleted.

MI5 at work.....only half joking

Yes but the article was wrong about other things too which I could point out if I had access to the RF board Grin

piedbeauty · 09/01/2023 20:26

BradfordGirl · 09/01/2023 20:19

@piedbeauty Having a fitting is perfectly normal for handmade bridesmaids dresses. Children grow.

Yes, of course, but one fitting four days before the wedding?? That seems bonkers.

BradfordGirl · 09/01/2023 20:26

@Orangefir We have no idea if there had been the one fitting or more than one fitting.
And being honest I think picking over the details of another woman's wedding in this way is pretty trashy.

Lightningfast · 09/01/2023 20:27

@JaneJeffer it’s the Mumsnet founder and the Daily Telegraph you need to tell - I’m just going off what they have been saying 😁
