OMG MNHQ are going to be inundated, aren't they!

sandcastles · 30/01/2008 10:20

DCsnatchsunhill, she is doing a junk mail drop on MN. I think she is going around screen dumping EVERYTHING!

She'll be sending them allsorts!

MrsJohnCusack · 30/01/2008 10:25

oh thank god I went off to turn my hand into a claw playing Scramble on Facebook.....

arfishy · 30/01/2008 10:39

Woohoo! Go Ghosty!!

[eats 5 doughnuts]

& Helloooooo. I see we have a new member for our very exclusive Oz/NZ clique.

Where are you in Oz spinspin & welcome to mumsnet.

arfishy · 30/01/2008 10:42

I think that crafty ad agency is trying to sneak in high paying nescafe ads by sending them to Oz waaaay more than the UK.

I can't believe they thought that the Oz/NZ mumsnetters wouldn't notice this. They probably think we're all at the beach or something.

OliviaMumsnet · 30/01/2008 10:43

Hi all
Don't worry, we've not changed our Nescafe policy - this has somehow slipped through the net and we're on to our agency about it
But can I check, am I right in understanding that everyone on this thread is accessing MN from the Antipodes??

May I also add that I was feeling a little ethically anxious about the Nike advert I saw the other day.

Hopefully some Guardian reading Mumsnetter will arrive and disabuse me of the notion that Nike pay young children to make footballs in developing countries?

Thank you for removing the Nescafe ad, I'd hate to have to find yet another parenting forum to join!

Olivia - I am getting it in Hungary too! And someone on Lulumama's thread about the Nestle boycott was getting it too.

Buda · 30/01/2008 11:14

Oh - and well done ghosty - proud of you for not giving up when the going got tough! Fancy a Nespresso in celebration?

arfishy · 30/01/2008 11:15

Hi Olivia, yes, most of us do seem to be from Australia/NZ, although I think at one point in the thread somebody said they were also seeing it in the UK - it just seems to be more frequent here. Either that or the thread just didn't get noticed by the UK contingent in the morning.

Welcome back spinspin . Do keep on joining in won't you? I know Gymea and Miranda - are you anywhere near there?

sandcastles · 30/01/2008 11:46

Maybe they play in the early hours [in the UK] in the hope that no one would notice...

arfishy · 30/01/2008 11:52

Yes, my thoughts exactly sandcastles. It's not like they're not used to underhand tactics now is it

ghosty · 30/01/2008 12:00

Oi, have you lot noticed that ALL the ads have gone completely now??
cool
