I did wot you said miss and it isn't working ... When I press 'paste' on my word doc it just pastes the last link I copied ... not this thread.

FWIW ... I have a laptop and have Vista. So I have microsoft Office Word.

Slight hijack..have started new job that only has Fairtrade coffee and tea up for grabs. 'Tis lovely, but I know..deep down...that my heart belongs to Nescafe blend 43.

The problem is cos you've been pressing the prtsc button lots, it's been taking lots of images and storing them in the clipboard. When you press paste, it pastes the last one you tried. Your evil nestle one is probably halfway down the list.

Soooo. You have some choices here.

Lets try going to Word, clicking Edit & then 'Office Clipboard'. You might need to press the little downwards double arrows to expand your menu before you see the 'office clipboard' option.

This should show the contents of your clipboard, from here you can choose which image to paste. If you can't see it clearly then you can select 'clear clipboard' and then go back to mumsnet and do it again - BUT ONLY PRESS THE BUTTON ONCE!! Then it will work nicely.

Bolleaux. Tried also to do the smash and grab, as there is a new Nescafe ad to the right now...saying Add Some Beans to your Coffee or sumfink.
Did the grab screen thingy but then realised that I haven't got Word to paste it into.

I just tried a plain old copy and paste and it came up with the WSPA advert instead of the Cosmos travel one that I was trying to 'Grab' ...
So I emptied clip board contents and tried again with the prtscn option ... nothing.

Stupid question alert: Do I have to 'highlight' the picture I want to paste?

Yup - have got it ... there's a little button on my keyboard that says 'fn' with a box around it ... and the 'prt sc' button has a box around it too (but 'insert' doesn't) so the 'fn' box obviously changed the function from 'insert' to 'prt sc' ...
just tried it and had a perfect 'screen dump' ...

I have the Fn button, but I don't have to use it for that function.
