Getting really p'd off with bookmarks not working/working sporadically

And me. Very annoying on long threads.

Previously I never used Bookmarks, but I'm trying them now because since the change the site is ridiculously slow loading or flipping very long threads.

But they aren't working properly and it's so frustrating.

On another subject, I can't see my PMs either, just get an Error 500 message.

I quite liked the changes at first, but I'm not so sure now.

Me too. They need to sack the developers, go back to the old site, and get some people in who know what they're doing and do proper testing.

Me too. And certain threads crashing every time I try and read them. The parking one is unreadable as it's so long, bookmark doesn't work and as soon as I get to a certain point it crashes. Every time 🙁

Me, too. I've just started a thread of my own about the exact same thing. It's infuriating.

The throwing me out also happened to me on a different thread by I can't remember which one.

MN coders are useless is what’s wrong. Why push a web change with so many bugs is beyond me.

I'm actually giving up. It's just not workable on the long threads and I've lost all flow of those conversations now.

Sorry @mumsnet but these issues are fundamental in a site that works with long running threads as you do.

Yep, bloody nightmare. You have no idea whether it will accept a click first time, random lengths of time for unbookmark to appear, whether reclicking will unbookmark or make the bookmark appear this time. Really slow taking you to bookmark point. Having to go in and out the thread several times to find your place.

The bookmarks work on laptop better. App is terrible and keeps crashing. Also having to flip threads and keep losing track.

Yep this is happening to me too. The bookmarks seem to default back to my own posts if I've bookmarked them. Very annoying.

I cannot comment on threads unless I'm quoting someone. Very annoying.

It's really annoying now. It's also showing new posts on 'threads I'm on' when there aren't any. The first bookmark seems to work, but it doesn't allow you to change it, it reverts back to the original bookmark when you click back on the thread.

It's pretty unusable now.
I click here several times during the day and then remember nothing's working. Long running threads I'm on are impossible to follow now.
Why change something when the update was obviously not ready? It's so annoying.

It's still not working. I'm having to flip threads to read the latest post, as the bookmarks don't work, and then read backwards. Makes it hard to follow.

Bookmarking is very hit and miss today, for me.

I've found it works if, when you click on a thread you've bookmarked, unbookmark that comment, and then bookmark the new one that you want.

Annoying though.
