Advert blacking out whole screen

I get this in every second thread I open this morning. It’s hiding all the posts on a page.

Using safari on iPad.

I am getting it too and it is covering multiple posts (the one below is quoting one so there must be at least one being covered plus top of the visible one).
I accept adverts as part of life but this is too intrusive. Safari on iPad.

Hi @CeeceeBloomingdale and @Pixiedown123 sorry to hear you've been having problems. Please can you let us know the version of device and browser that you are using?

Also, if you're able to provide a screenshot and tell us where you were on the site when you saw this, it would be really helpful.

MNHQ has been puzzling about this, asking for screenshots, browser and device details, for over 3 weeks now.

Loads of posters* have sent this information.

Seems that MNHQ are 'stumped'. Who knows why, or how?

It’s on virtually every thread and looks exactly the same as every other picture posted. Safari is version 15.

Just had it it again blasting out something about recyclables.

The main advert block - the one with Amy and her annoying weaning foods, that MNHQ was supposed to have got rid of earlier this year - was black. When the horrible ad about recyclables noise ended, a still of bloody Amy's ad appeared.

I'm getting that advert for Jersey on most threads now. I'm definitely never going there. It obscures the OP and the title so it's hard to say exactly what threads are called.

It’s on most threads - why do you need to know that ? The same issue has been reported for days !

And immediate after covering the text box, so had to refresh. What an awful pita.

It’s been happening for weeks and weeks. What the hell is causing it and why can’t mumsnet stop it? I KNOW the site is funded by ads and I don’t want to get an ad blocker but I’m at the point where I’m going to.

Between this, and the loud auto play video ads that won’t close the site is unusable at times.

Yes, seriously annoying and guaranteed to make me avoid the advertiser like the plague so a bit of a disaster all round.

I just got the Jet 2 one when I was on my watched threads list, which meant I couldn’t click on the thread I wanted. Windows laptop on Chrome. Does nobody at MN use the site? I just find it hard to believe you don’t see these adverts. Surely you are constantly monitoring performance on different platforms?
