Hi all...

We're still waiting for a Google Engineer to look at this issue. As they're based in the US, we're hopeful that we'll have some communication from them this afternoon.

I know this is frustrating, and it absolutely shouldn't be happening, but I can assure you that this will get resolved. At the moment we're in Google's hands so thank you for bearing with us whilst we wait for a resolution from them.

I'll keep you updated as we hear anything.

It's now freezing so none of the buttons work to get rid. I have to refresh to remove it!

Gone into overdrive today. I just started browsing and it’s popped up three times already. Sigh.

Whatever Google are trying to fix it has made it 50x worse. The site is barely usable tonight.

I was holding my breath yesterday because after a couple of incidences in the morning I didn't get any cookie messages at all for the rest of the day, which is very unusual and welcome

I've just gone to MN. I'd left three tabs open overnight, on different threads. The first one I opened flashed up the cookie message and on checking, both the others did too.

So I went back to the first one, wearily trudged through and dealt with it, caught up on the thread, then decided to just close the other two open tabs rather than have to go through the whole process again twice more. I did that and.....guess what? The cookie message immediately popped back up on the thread I'd just cleared it from seconds earlier.

I get my cookie message every day. Sometimes twice or three times a day 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I get it every time I use mn

I've been getting that message on my Macbook Pro in Firefox every time I open a new tab on Mumsnet. I accept without argument every time, and every time I got to a new tab, there it is again. I haven't noticed it on the app on my iphone or ipad yet, though.
