400 Bad Request

85 replies

FreezerBird · 21/12/2020 22:22

I'm getting this message constantly on Mumsnet over the last couple of days.

I can generally click from active onto the first page of a thread (but not always) but then clicking 'next' to get to page two is, the majority of the time, met with a blank white screen with the text.:
"400 Bad Request
Your browser made an invalid request"

This is only happening on Mumsnet.

I'm using the ecosia app on Android. Will clear cache and see if that helps.

Ok, an easier way:

Swipe down from the top of your screen:
Settings (cog)>apps>Chrome>storage>clear cache (brush icon bottom right).

Lougle · 16/01/2021 23:18

@purpleme12

I don't have 3 lines on the bottom There's 3 lines on the top right but when I look in there there's no Chrome icon and none of the other things you mentioned I don't use the app (is the way you're describing for if you use the app?)
How do you use Chrome if you don't use an app for it? I'm talking about the Chrome browser app, not MN app. Smile

Here's the 3 lines

400 Bad Request
purpleme12 · 16/01/2021 23:33

Ok I've worked out what you mean
I did it the 2nd way you said (although on mine you swipe up to get to settings)
Yes I was a bit confused I thought you were talking about the Mumsnet app

Anyway I've pressed clear cache now so I guess we'll see what happens

Maybe to much traffic here!

purpleme12 · 24/01/2021 00:43

I got the 400 request error too again a couple of days ago

I wasn't actually expecting anything to be fixed to be honest as per my comments it's intermittent and been going on for ages

LilyMumsnet · 24/01/2021 10:32

@purpleme12

You said to me earlier to clear cache and I replied saying how do I do that but no one's answered about this? If this is really the answer to this then I'd like to do it
If you don't know how to clear your cache, you can find instructions on how to do it here. Flowers
purpleme12 · 24/01/2021 10:34

I've cleared it. Someone on this thread told me how

It hasn't rectified it

SlopesOff · 24/01/2021 14:02

It never does. Just means you have to sign in again and untick all the boxes.
