400 Bad Request

I'm getting this message constantly on Mumsnet over the last couple of days.

I can generally click from active onto the first page of a thread (but not always) but then clicking 'next' to get to page two is, the majority of the time, met with a blank white screen with the text.:
"400 Bad Request
Your browser made an invalid request"

This is only happening on Mumsnet.

I'm using the ecosia app on Android. Will clear cache and see if that helps.

Hi OP

This sounds like a potential issue with the browser - are you able to get a screenshot of the error for us and if possible, try a different browser so we can (hopefully) isolate the issue?

Hi there, everyone - sorry to hear that you've been plagued by the dreaded 504 message this morning. It's affecting us mods here too. Angry

We've asked our Tech team to take a look at things from their end.

soniamumsnet · 30/12/2020 16:27

Hi @LittleMissLockdown sorry to hear about that. We're taking a look into this now and will hopefully get to the bottom of it. Flowers

CarolineMumsnet · 02/01/2021 15:45

Urgh, we're sorry to hear this ProfYaffle

We'll see if we can see why it's started happening again. In the meantime, if anyone else is having this problem, please let us know here. Flowers

Hi folks

Really sorry that this one is taking us a while to sort - we're still investigating so please do hang in there.

soniamumsnet · 13/01/2021 09:17

Hi @MrMeSeeks @purpleme12 just popping in to ask if you're still getting this 400 bad request error please?

If so, we'll do our best to investigate. Any screenshots would be really helpful. Flowers

soniamumsnet · 13/01/2021 16:15

Thanks for this update @purpleme12

We'll certainly keep an eye on this to prevent any future occurrences. Flowers

soniamumsnet · 15/01/2021 09:37

Hi @purpleme12 just dropping by to say that if this happens again, please could you clear the cache as this should resolve the issue? Flowers

YetAnotherBeckyMumsnet · 16/01/2021 09:32

@OhYouBadBadKitten last night there was a network failure at our data centre. (I think this means an internet hamster came off its wheel.) The engineers fixed it overnight and the site was back up around 3 am.

FlissMumsnet · 16/01/2021 21:16

Hi SlopesOff,

Thanks for letting us know - we're sorry this is still happening.
Would you tell us if you're using Chrome? Firefox would appear to be a good alternative and we're interested to know if it resolves the issue for you.

Give us a nod when you can
Brew

@purpleme12

You said to me earlier to clear cache and I replied saying how do I do that but no one's answered about this? If this is really the answer to this then I'd like to do it
If you don't know how to clear your cache, you can find instructions on how to do it here. Flowers
