To wonder why I keep being thrown into threads I didnt select

It keeps happening. Everytime I click on a thread a different one opens. It's driving me mad. Anyone else having the same problem?

This happens to me all the time, and seems to be getting worse, its gone from a couple of threads away to what I select, to threads that aren't even showing on my screen. Shooting themselves in the foot by not sorting this but still asking for money, perhaps remove the banner from the active page and just show it within a thread?

I want to click on a thread called 'Greggs'. It is not even on the same fecking page as your sponsored links, so I am not clicking them by mistake.

We have asked and asked for updates on this thread and no one from mnhq has bothered to answer us.

I love mumsnet, but so frustrated with this issue and the lack of interest from MN, my interest is waning at a rate of knots. I am spending a lot less time here now, and will certainly be spending a lot less in the future.
At least the housework is getting done.

I think there might be a lag in the loading. It seems as though the page jumps during selection of threads.

It is... I've just had a good look and the Active/ trending header loads after the rest of the threads, which bumps it down. So when someone goes to click a thread, they end up clicking one/ two threads higher.

Hello everyone - so sorry this is still a problem. We're trying to recreate it in order to figure out what's causing it.

It would be really helpful if you could let us know:

Which page were you on when the link skipping occurred
Were you logged in or logged out
Which device are you using (Phone and Operating system)

Happens often on my phone (Android). Used to happen on iPad until I installed an adblocker. It seems to be because the pages take ages to load the ads.

Yes happens to me too. Usually I enter threads via "active threads", unsure if it happens elsewhere. I assume it is caused by a delay in the ad's loading.

I'm almost certain that it's this bar loading late. It loads after the rest of the page, so we see the threads in one position, then they all move down to accommodate the bar.

I'm on the mobile web version, so I don't get the big ads at the top and sides.

The same as everyone else, and as I said in an earlier post, I know about the lag, I can accept the lag, but when I wait until the page settles, then click on a thread, only to be taken to a thread that is not even on my screen at that time, it is not lag to blame.

This kept happening on my old phone and I thought there was something wrong with it. Have a new phone now but it's still happening (only on this site though). Also, today I've noticed that threads are randomly opening without even having touched the screen.

While we're here, the site regularly freezes as I'm scrolling a thread. Only minimising and maximizing it again resets it. Again, this is on mobile web, Chrome.
