To wonder why I keep being thrown into threads I didnt select

It keeps happening. Everytime I click on a thread a different one opens. It's driving me mad. Anyone else having the same problem?

We're always posting on site stuff about it. They keep saying "ooh ever so sorry, tech will have a look"
Been happening for years. Used to think it was my fat aged fingers.
Now I just go and do something else for a bit.
Maybe once everyone starts paying (mwahahahaha) they'll get a spanner and sort it out.

Thought it was just me,hasn't happened before but since ive come back on mumsnet in last 2 months it's happening all the time,bizarrely on my bigger tablet screen more than my phone.

I'd love a job in their tech department. I'm not tech savvy, but I could do the job if I had to go and look but not touch.

It's happening to me a lot too. The phone is only a few months old and fairly decent, it's the adverts loading that does it.

I've often wondered what the percentage of clicks onto any advertised website online are accidental, 90%?
My local paper is terrible for it as the adverts take up most of the page making it difficult to scroll past without accidental clicking (placenameLive)

Eggscited with that and telling people to turn it off and on again, I'm sure you'd do a grand job

Like the Load More not actually loading more, just a repeat of the same (still not fixed- mobile, Chrome) and the desktop site Loading More but not being able to watch or hide any of them (desktop, Chrome) issues which are being looked into but not actually being sorted.

All in all, not really a website worth a fiver a month, is it.

It is indeed an issue we are aware of - we're going to ask tech if there are any updates on a fix.

And here we are, just another thread in site stuff that will receive occasional half-hearted updates, but no actual fix to the problem.

And threads in site stuff get deleted after 100 days

This has been a problem for ages, pisses me off no end.
Tech are ALWAYS going to be asked for an update.
I give up half the time because apart from anything else, half the time get chucked into the sponsored threads that are not even on the screen at the time😡

Oh my god this started happening to me a few weeks ago and it's so fucking annoying! I just assumed it was my phone being slow to load. Good to know it's not just my crappy phone! 😂

I have just made 4 attempts to click on a thread unsuccessfully.

Just about had enough for today - had similar this afternoon. Pay for it? Seriously?

Sorry, just so bloody frustrated

In my phone browser I now 'hold' links instead of clicking them. This gives me a little pop up showing the thread title and asking if I want to open in a new window. It means I can check the link is correct before loading

This problem has been really dreadful today...no improvement at all! And yes, I was brought back to this thread when trying to open another one!

There's absolutely no way I would even consider paying for a website that can't sort out such a basic thing.

its because of the ads taking FOREVER to load and the pages then 'jump' so you inadvertently open the thread 2 above. its always happened to me, worse on mobile site. i have just got into the habit if waiting for the jump before clicking,

Well, if MN really are struggling then perhaps they had little choice.

This bug in particular is the primary reason I didn't subscribe, it feels a little stupid to pay for something which works so poorly.

@00100001 I know what you mean, I have done that on many an occasion, this is completely different.
This takes you to a thread that is often not actually on my screen - i would have to scroll up to see it. Bizarrely, a lot of the time it takes me to a sponsored post near the top of the page when I am clicking on a thread near the bottom iyswim.

Still nothing to feedback MNHQ?

IV list my 'bottom bar' thingy with all my options on it as well!! Really annoying
