oh please give it a rest, haychee. i didn't bump up anything, nor did anyone here. that's The Whole Point, we've not been involved but we don't want people to think that our lack of involvement condones all the stomach-churning speculation.

Martianbishop.....and how wonderful to have it put so well.

WelshBoris · 09/09/2007 12:25

Good Lord haychee, you do my head right in.

No wonder all the intelligent posters are leaving MN in their droves

Carmenere · 09/09/2007 12:26

There are far far more posters on mn avoiding those threads than posting on them. I'd hazard a guess that there is about 200 people who have posted on them and about 5000 that haven't.

haychee · 09/09/2007 12:28

That is speculation cranmere - be careful with speculating, guessing or assuming. You do not know that for certain.

Heathcliffscathy · 09/09/2007 12:29

missed all of this as have been on hols, but have always found the public ownership of private tragedy abhorrent. And of course the 'cut paedos balls off, i cry myself to sleep every night for the mccanns' soon turns into 'i knew they did it all along'. both positions are as voyeuristic imo.

you are bonkers, haychee. [speculative]

You don't think they should exist at all? That MN should pull them?

roisin · 09/09/2007 12:32

(PS Thanks Aitch)

Lizzylou · 09/09/2007 12:32

Agree with OP, excellently put too, wish I was half as eloquent, innit.

Carmenere · 09/09/2007 12:33

That is an informed estimate Haycee, I spend far too much time on here. There are a LOT of members of mn and yet it is the same few who post on those threads.

berolina · 09/09/2007 12:33

NKF - it is a very sad reflection on MN that they exist. I think we feel they are not the 'real' MN.

unknownrebelbang · 09/09/2007 12:34

It is unrealistic (imho) to think there would be no threads on the situation, tbh, but I do find the speculation distasteful.
