pesme, I will definitely put you on my list of swear buddies

Maybe once a month we could have a profanity frenzy after the watershed with a big 'Beware Foul Mouthed Ladies Ahead' warning sign.

If we did have one of I would tell you my favourite spontaneous cuss for bad driving. It is a doozy. ( I'm sure the man I pranged today as I turned right at a green light when he was racing to dodge the lights from the opposite direction used something similar to me. Thank god I've got a fecking great big volvo that's all I can say)

pesme · 10/09/2004 11:48

omg sw, we are obviously separated at birth. I used to car share with a friend who still talks about the spectacular combinations of swear words I used to come out with. i mostly reserve swearing for driving and particularly frustrating dp moments.

ScummyMummy · 11/09/2004 09:40

Great thread- I do love swearing so very much. LOL @pesme paticularly.

SoupDragon · 11/09/2004 09:47

I believe the word "Scunthorpe" causes a few problems for Rude Word Spotters.

zebra · 11/09/2004 09:54

I'm offended by most swear words...
Before I prudishly run away, I was thinking about starting a thread 2 find out who had what body piercings, & esp. wondered if any1 would admit 2 a pierced cltr*s.

suzywong · 11/09/2004 10:14

that word offends me aurally as I really don't like the 'o-ris' sound, but it 's better than saying 'the man the boat'.

edam · 11/09/2004 10:49

the man the boat? WTF?

NomDePlume · 11/09/2004 10:52

The man IN the boat, surely ?!

NomDePlume · 11/09/2004 10:54

I agree that clitoris or its diminutive form both sound pretty grim. I'm not offended by the use of them but the sound of the word makes me cringe a bit.

marthamoo · 11/09/2004 11:02

Can I say "oh botheration!"?

fairyfly · 11/09/2004 11:04

NomDePlume · 11/09/2004 11:07

the man the boat ???? a very puzzled and ignorant mummy here I think. agree that don't object to the concept of the clit word but it does sound so horrid doesn't it -

NomDePlume · 11/09/2004 11:34

Not going to get into too much details here, MtS, but 'the man in the boat' refers to the way the cl*t looks, kind of like a little bald man in a boat, viewed from above IYSWIM

edam · 11/09/2004 11:41

Just googled Scunthorpe (not a phrase I've ever used before ) to see if my net nanny software would object. No problem. So why won't it let me buy my undies from respectable high street stores online?

MummyToSteven · 11/09/2004 11:42

thanks NDP - would never have twigged in a million years

fairyfly · 11/09/2004 11:44
