Deleted for calling someone out on gender stereotyping

Absolutely appalled. I called a poster out for posting the worst kind of gender stereotyping bollocks (possibly exact words) and was deleted.

Wtaf?

I didn't contravene any guidelines, unless we 're adding swearing now. I merely said that the post was 'a load of gender stereotyping bollocks'. Which it was. That was it. Which guidelines does that contravene? I'm very happy to be deleted if required, but come on!

Janey with her ‘go elsewhere’ shout again .. snooze.

If the guidelines were consistent and clear it would make a mssive difference to the forum

'Modding'? Have you been here long, Janey?

Besides which, that was exactly my point - that MN used to be a place where you could call out gender stereotyping as bluntly as you liked. Now, it appears you have to politely explain why such a practice is complete and utter total bollocks.

But this is MN. I shouldn't have to.

You’re missing the point - they’re allowing people to post sterotypes and offensive sometimes racist posts but you can’t call any of them bollocks because that’s a step too far? It’s ridiculous

Jayne - most respectfully - even your use of the term 'mods' let's me know that you have no idea what MN ever stood for.

Stood. Past tense.

Interesting, Empress - thanks for that.

Read the article, Jayne. You are still missing several points.
