Can we start a ‘medics corner’ to the list of topics?

Thought it would be useful to have this....think there is something similar for teachers on here

Potential topics could be employment issues, people looking for opinions/advice on junior doctor issues, bullying, flexible working, work/life balance as a medic and a parent ....the list is endless!

I'm going to go against the grain and say it's a terrible idea, as a nurse I am very careful about what I put online and discussing work in any way on a public forum is a big no no. I would not use it and I would worry about people getting in trouble.

Not a HCP but would be interested in following the threads (sometimes do from Staff Room if they come up on Active. I don't post.) I suspect that means that others including DM will do the same though, so you'd want to be careful venting (I suppose the same as normal but with more risk of publicity.)

I think it's a great idea too. I tend to use the FB group for my area for this but would be good to have a place here too.

I would love to join this. I’ve been an NHS admin since my teens, now volunteer as an HCA and would love to train as an RN eventually!! Seems like a fab idea!

Good news, folks. The big cheeses have said yes to this so look out for a new topic coming soon.

Topics that get dusty or tumbleweedy do get removed, so we'll keep an eye on it and check it's not looking unloved, but sounds like lots of you have lots to say on the subject.
