Top bar advertising

MN, PLEASE fix this advertising bar at the top of the computer screen.

It is so large, that I can't actually click on any of the MN links that are at the top of the page. (eg, active, I'm on, etc).

Right now, on Site Stuff, I can't even click 'Site Stuff' to get other threads in this section. It's hidden by the ad, which is NOT scrolling up and away the way I've seen others do. It's just sitting there. The ONLY threads I can get onto are the active ones on the right hand side of the screen, and only the ones lower down the list as the top ones are hidden by the Ad. (Experian and Marks and Spencers, are the two so far....)

You did this before, we all complained, you apologised and said it shouldn't have been loaded on as you were testing something new. I really hope this was a mistake, because it is IMPOSSIBLE to navigate the site.

I get it on my laptop too, but it does shrink back fairly quickly. It is irritating though. But on my phone, it often just stays there and I can hardly read threads, so just don't bother with it now on phone

This is so frigging annoying. As in really, really annoying.

It's not only the advertisement bar, it's the bloody floating MN that keeps going over the page.

I've got the white bar with the whitelist message. Yes it goes away after a few seconds but it's back every time you change page or refresh. Spoiling MN.

I'm on my phone and getting a very fine white line across the page (see pic). I thought the screen was going faulty before I saw all the complaints!

Don't even start me on the mobile site.

It's screwing up the entire page.

To say it is a tad annoying is a massive understatement.

I haven't installed an adblocker - but I may have to, as it's making MN unusable. They are so intrusive - at the top, down the sides, flashing away [grrr]

Yeah, it's really unbearable. As in, I cannot bear it. As in, I won't be using it. :(

I understand the need to advertise, believe me I do, but I do not understand the need to advertise so intrusively that you literally chase away the eyes that would see the ads.

Macbook and Safari. Driving me nuts. Mumsnet get rid of these awful ads, they are making the site unusable.

Yep, I am not going to use John Lewis, even if you paid me so I don't need an ad for it taking over my screen. Replacing it with a white space, a rotating thing and a couple of lines of text that take ages to shrink isn't helping either, it is STILL THERE so I am off.
