Dame - I made your flat bread last night. Oh. WOW.

it is so easy and was so tasty, kids couldn't get enough of it.

I don't make bread (never managed to make one tastier than a bought one).
But I do now!

I was watching the Beebs new family cook show on catch up last night and was wondering what I would cook if it was us, and basically wondering what we could make around the flat bread!

Sounds yummy. DP makes a very similar thing, but with pancetta. The DCs love it.

I think it's safe to assume feta isn't MN's favourite cheese.

Have I really missed a scrap about butter beans? Gah. I miss all the best stuff on here.

Off the back of this thread I bought butterbeans..then forgot why and used them in my 'go to' emergency I've made no dinner veg chilli last night.
My sometimes fussy teens, who are used to most pulses, said that 'the flat beans are nice for a change but not as nice as the chickpeas!' So that's the butterbean controversy in our house now....which pulse is best? (I prefer a puy lentil myself).

I was glad when I discovered puy lentils. Great in a shepherds pie with sweet potato mash and cheese on top.

(with onions, celery, carrots, peppers, red wine, veg stock, lots of mushrooms, herbs and can of tomatoes)
