The main page keeps refreshing itself because 'there was a problem reloading the page'.

Anyone else?

I'm using Safari on a macbook.

I've turned my iPad Adblock off and it has gone away for now, but before that it was only happening on talk threads for me, tio was fine

OhYouBadBadKitten · 30/03/2017 10:58

I'm trying dolphin. It's challenging when I end up with a smurf pop up that hides everything. argh!

The 'problem reloading page' - when this happens, can you grab a screenshot for us?

Can't apologise enough, we're digging right now.

BearNose · 30/03/2017 11:04

It's far too quick! It goes blank, at the top it says 'page reloading' and it reloads in the blink of an eye, dumping everything you've typed and sometimes taking you to the top of the thread.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 30/03/2017 11:05

oh well done bearnose, you are much faster than me!

JennyOnAPlate · 30/03/2017 11:06

Safari 10 here too and on every page.

BeyondUser24601 · 30/03/2017 11:07

This is from google images, but it's what it looks like...

OYBBK Dolphin has a built-in adblocker. To turn it on click 'settings' (the round thing with spokes in the middle top right) click again in the drop-down and then you can turn on adblock - it will kill the Smurf!

Just lost two messages with the same crappy error message Angry

AnneLovesGilbert · 30/03/2017 11:29

Fine on Safari on my iPhone but laptop is struggling big time and it's happening over and over again.

BoreOfWhabylon · 30/03/2017 11:32

LornaMumsnet I'm also running Safari 10 (well, not anymore, I've switched to Dolphin now)

Must say, I'm a bit disappointed that you say you are digging now when this latest (in a looong line) problem started on Monday/Tuesday and we were told on this thread yesterday that it was being looked into. There have been major problems with Safari and Mumsnet for ages and it's just getting worse. Safari can be glitchy on some other sites but nothing like this.

TeddyIsaHe · 30/03/2017 11:38

Just happened on this thread (for the 4th time)

What Whabylon said

LornaMumsnet · 30/03/2017 11:54

Sorry if there's been a misunderstanding - we could have worded our latest comment better (my bad)...

We take all of your reports very seriously and our tech team has been looking into this since it was first flagged.

We're so sorry that this is such an ongoing, problematic issue. We are looking into a fix which we very much hope will resolve the issue.

We'll update you with this ASAP.

BoreOfWhabylon · 30/03/2017 11:55

Please feel free to call me Bore, Anne Grin

"Must say, I'm a bit disappointed that you say you are digging now when this latest (in a looong line) problem started on Monday/Tuesday and we were told on this thread yesterday that it was being looked into"

Could not agree more.

AuntieStella · 30/03/2017 11:56

That wasn't exactly a x-post, it's a reflection of how long I struggled with reloading in order to post it at all.

AnneLovesGilbert · 30/03/2017 11:57

Thanks Bore. Always a minefield knowing what to call people! Grin

PineWoods · 30/03/2017 12:04

Still happening - it's very quick in my case not sure how to screenshot

BoreOfWhabylon · 30/03/2017 12:06

Thank you Lorna, but the thing is that there had been only one post from MNHQ to this thread in nearly 48 hours and that only happened after the thread was reported, as indeed I did again this morning.

If Tech has been looking into this since it was first flagged then some feedback/updates would have been a good idea.

The functionality of the site is getting worse and worse, I'm afraid, and MNHQ is much less responsive than in the past Sad

OhYouBadBadKitten · 30/03/2017 13:00

thanks Bore! my smurf won't die. It's nearly impossible to work around - I have to guess what I'm typing!

PuppyMonkey · 30/03/2017 13:08

I just tried timing the length between reload messages to see if a pattern but it's completely random

PuppyMonkey · 30/03/2017 13:10

Second attempt at posting this - I just tried timing the length between reload messages to see if there's a pattern but it's completely random. 1 min sometimes, 4 mins others.

PuppyMonkey · 30/03/2017 13:10

Oh look it worked after all! Shock
