Harsh, but ban the non thread readers please!

Lighthearted. Kind of.

I propose that mnhq start banning the non thread readers. The cancel the chequers if you will.

I don't mean people who read threads but don't take in a bit of info sometimes. We all do that. I mean the 'i haven't read the full thread but...' people who then go on to flog a completely dead horse or perpetuate the resurrection of a zombie thread where 20 posters have already said ZOMBIE THREAD.

Read the op, read the end of the thread. If you are moved enough to post then read through the rest. It's not that hard is it?

well what happened on that thread? I read the beginning but didn't see how it panned out (is asking for a thread summary threadcuntery?!)

Yes Fizz, go rtft! Hmm Grin

Threadcuntery looks fine to me, Pag.

To summarise the Edinburgh thread...
Op: what can my daughter do on Christmas Day in Edinburgh since she can't get home (300 miles away)
Massive pile on: go get your baby!
You're a I would have loved inlaws dropping positive hints! Would have made all the difference to dh's decision.
Op : She is totally happy to come on Boxing Day and I'm really only looking for suggestions for things for her to do.
Massive pile on: Exactly the same comments as before.
Every now and again a new poster pops up to say the same as the pile on people...can't she get a train etc.

Someone remarked the thread is like Groundhog Day, which was spot on.

PommePoire · 06/12/2016 09:15

Meditrina, suggested back on page 2: "I think you should only be allowed to say you haven't RTFT if you signal that's the case by posting a picture of the Duchess of Argyll"

But, and here's the threadcuntery part: I have read the thread!

Wilfully misunderstanding other posters' reasonable suggestions, also being on the 'Kill her!' List.

Harsh, but ban the non thread readers please!
PurpleDaisies · 06/12/2016 09:18

Apologies for the randomness in the middle of the summary-no idea what happened there!

You're a BAD mother.
Can't she car share?
Can't you drive and get her?
Here's a train timetable!
Get her to quit her job!!!

Im pleased to say after reading the Edinburgh thread I am slightly hysterical

Funniest thing I've read in a while

My favourite part of threads like that is when there's some RTFT banter going on and then someone who clearly hasn't RTFT just pipes up and says something like 'how about a crisis centre? How about DVDs and a candlelit bath?'

I did shed a tear of laughter.

Threadcuntery
Thread worms
Cunt worms

The word association is bad!

Oh, and...

CANCEL THE BADGER!

BattleaxeGalactica · 06/12/2016 09:28

Is it Gordon's badger? He's been looking for it #theapprentice

All the references to Tots TV are making me twitchy. It played on a loop here twenty odd years ago Angry

FizzBombBathTime · 06/12/2016 09:30

Threadfucker
Threadmansplaining

EvenTheWind · 06/12/2016 09:31

No, Gordon is a gopher

#philipschofield

HerRoyalFattyness · 06/12/2016 09:31

No! Don't cancel the badger. Them cunts get stabby!

EvenTheWind · 06/12/2016 09:32

Threadsplaining works. Deffo not a man thing, and i say that as an FWR regular!

TheMortificadosDragon · 06/12/2016 09:32

Having rtft, I'm left wondering why my dachshund is peacefully sleeping under DDs duvet at the moment instead of being gainfully employed hunting badgers.

Also the recent suggestions for alternative to RTFT have reminded me that there is a valid nautical expression 'worm the cuntlines'. Its completely irrelevant but I thought you all should know that.

RustyBear · 06/12/2016 09:34

Don't cancel the badger! Had to rtft to check that no-one had posted this before....

BattleaxeGalactica · 06/12/2016 09:38

Mushrooms! Mushrooms!

FizzBombBathTime · 06/12/2016 09:50

Even that's it!!!

Sorry wasn't trying to say it was a man thing I was just trying to liken it to the mansplaining thing!!
Grin

PurpleDaisies · 06/12/2016 09:52

Threadsplaining is a brilliant word.

Sparklingbrook · 06/12/2016 09:55

There has been a fair bit of teensplaining lately. 'I am a teen ask me anything you like'.

Err no you're ok thanks. I used to be a teen and now I have 2 of my own. I can ask them. Now get off MN and do some revision!

WouldHave · 06/12/2016 09:56

Rosie and Jim were creepy.

Known as Dozy and Dim in our house, it takes away the creepiness.

Pagwatch · 06/12/2016 10:04

Threadsplaining is great!

The posters who say 'I think the op is having an unduly hard time always rehash the thread whilst wildly exaggerating any bits that might make the op look like less of a twat. Like 'well yes, the op shouldn't have punched her toddler but as she said upthread she was in Marks & Spencer and the lighting in there has been linked to angry outbursts plus she said her mother called her earlier and from the way she mentioned it I suspect the ops mother is a narc'

HerRoyalFattyness · 06/12/2016 10:06

well yes, the op shouldn't have punched her toddler
Wait what? We're not meant to punch toddlers? Erm...oops.
