So I clicked on a thread I had been commenting on and this appeared across my screen. Couldn't see an X to close it and it didn't disappear. Came off the thread and back on and it's gone again now. Strange.

I'm getting the same as sptownmama. On iPhone safari. No X to get rid & any click on ad takes me to new tab website. PITA.

I started getting these yesterday for the first time. Android, mobile site.

Taken these three screenshots in the space of a few minutes. Mumsnet - wtf now???? First there were the stupid pop ups that buzzed and now there's these enormous banners that make your site unusable.

It's all very well needing adverts but at this rate you will have no-one to advertise to . V pissed off.

Hoped something would have improved when I logged on this morning.

Unfortuneately not, still unusable.

More disappointing is the lack of response from MN. Even a quick ' we know and we are dealing with it' would help, but i guess the site is so big now that they really feel they don't have to bother. Lose a dozen posters? Meh, plenty more out there.

Shame the Daily Mail don't pick up on these threads.

It's the weekend so I don't think they will do anything until Monday. It's happens this way in the past.
For a site so big I think it's really bad they don't have out of hours support. Members of the site have to moderate inappropriate threads overnight. It's ridiculous.
