Shiny new thread.

Hopefully won't get derailed.

But Moz. LOOK at Rebecca post. It's a massive big kick in the cunt.

CandyMcJingles · 18/10/2016 22:30

Waitrose.
I supported you on the last thread.i put myself in your shoes.
Please will you do me a favour?
Will you support me back by reading every single post in this thread and put yourself in my shoes and then see how you feel?

Ausernotanumber · 18/10/2016 22:31

Sorry. It FEELS like a massive big kick in the cunt and a massive massive minimisation and lack of understanding of overlap and difficulties and just LIFE of those of us dealing with this in a daily basis.

Bishop - apologies this is back to that whole educating thing... But could you help me with that please? I thought she didn't want to live next door to the people she taught because one had thrown a chair at her that week.

So... No one would want to live next door to someone who threw chairs at them would they? That's common sense? This is the bit I don't understand being disablist

WaitrosePigeon · 18/10/2016 22:33

Candy I will go back to the start, I may have to read it a couple of times so I can make sure I take it all in but I will come back to you.

Thank you for being understanding and supportive, I will of course give you the same understanding back Flowers

Mozfan1 · 18/10/2016 22:33

Well yeah Auser she basically shut down the argument. Gives free reign for it to carry on. If they won't change it the only thing one can rely on is the good sense of people to stop and think before they decide to post an inflammatory and disabilist thread like the one in question. I doubt that will happen though.

BishopBrennansArse · 18/10/2016 22:33

I really think that's where it turned. Up until then it was reasonable enough, with even clarification that the OP wasn't referring to disabled people but more the criminal element. I'd be nervous living near a bail hostel myself, for example.

But that.... well it just reminds me of that place in Bristol, and having kids who will need carers when I'm long gone to hear professionals who work with disability actively saying they wouldn't live next door to a disabled person, it makes you wonder who you can trust with your children.

BishopBrennansArse · 18/10/2016 22:34

Hate - didn't see your post until after the one that's just come up had displayed. Did that answer it?

OP posts:
Ausernotanumber · 18/10/2016 22:34

God forbid my hold might be next door to the normal people.

Ausernotanumber · 18/10/2016 22:34

crashdoll · 18/10/2016 22:35

I've hidden that thread now and I didn't really see that post. Of course, it is revolting. What should have happened is that someone reported it and MN deleted it or hid the thread (I think that's what nightwatch can do). That way, the trolls and GFs and twats who get off on winding us up don't get any of what they want and others see that there is zero tolerance. I've seen them zap things very, very quickly so it's not as if they can't.....

Mozfan1 · 18/10/2016 22:35

waitrose ive read back what I said earlier and although may not agree with your past posts I'm really sorry. Truely. What you're going through must be fucking shit and I'm sorry. I'm glad the thread is back on track.

Hateloggingin · 18/10/2016 22:35

Yes it does, thank you :)

WaitrosePigeon · 18/10/2016 22:36

It's really okay Moz, tensions are very high at the moment. We're all probably coming out with stuff we would usually post. Sending love to everyone x

BishopBrennansArse · 18/10/2016 22:37

You're welcome Smile I do like to help if I can, but I won't under provocation Wink

OP posts:
crashdoll · 18/10/2016 22:37

It's sick and weird but there are people who get off on seeing this sort of frenzy. If we don't feed them, they don't get it. That's what fucks me off, that people bite (not saying they're wrong!) and then HQ start deleting. It needs to be nipped in the bed before 3 people bite and then 5 people start goading and then 4 people start standing up for one of the biters and one of the GFs. It's a big mess by this point and people leave or flounce or get themselves banned because they've been pushed to the limit.

Mozfan1 · 18/10/2016 22:37

professionals who work with disability actively saying they wouldn't live next door to a disabled person, it makes you wonder who you can trust with your children.

^^ THIS!!

Hateloggingin · 18/10/2016 22:38

And as a bit of an outsider I must say I think the mnhq post on that thread just handed you to the wolves Sad

I've never seen one that bad before (mnhq post)... 'No one has been disablist' etc Sad

Ausernotanumber · 18/10/2016 22:39

Exactly how I feel Hate.

And really quite shocked that HQ aren't responding but then I suppose it is late now and there's no paid staff at night time.

BishopBrennansArse · 18/10/2016 22:40

This is our point exactly, Hate. We're not delicate little flowers, far from it. All we ask is respect for ourselves and our families just as other minority groups have.

We have protections in law, its enforcement that's the issue.

OP posts:
BishopBrennansArse · 18/10/2016 22:41

Moz - I see that and freak out that they work with my kids tbh Sad

OP posts:
Mozfan1 · 18/10/2016 22:42

bishop I'm not surprised. It makes me feel sick. And there wasn't even just one, I think I counted 3 people who made similar comments

Ausernotanumber · 18/10/2016 22:42

I worry what will happen when I'm not here for my DC They have siblings but I don't expect them to take it on so it will fall to careers. Who really don't want to be next nor near people like my DC. Which is what can lead to neglect and abuse in my opinion.

Ausernotanumber · 18/10/2016 22:43

But Moz. There was no disablist comments on that thread only us all getting PA and threatened with suspension.
