Latest Talk app update for iOS

Morning all,

Early this morning we released an update for our iOS Talk app and thought we'd give you a heads-up about it.

There is now a search function so you can now search every thread on Mumsnet Talk from within the app.

This update also includes bug fixes for a number of issues that were reported by you - thanks for your feedback.

Let us know what you think and thanks for all of you feedback so far.

Sounds like we've still got work to do!

Battery draining seems to be a problem for a few people along with the watched threads so we'll ask Tech to take another look.

Not being able to hide threads is a pain. They just pop straight back up again.

If I hide threads on the app, they're staying hidden - I can't immediately replicate that error. What device are you using HCM and how are you going about it?

iPhone 5 on iOS 10. I'm opening the thread, going to the title at the top, swiping left and clicking hide.

It goes away momentarily and then when I come back to threads I'm on, or active, or watched, it's back.

Are they still on the thread list when you go to the actual board? Mine are disappearing from everything if I hit 'Hide'.

Although there does look to be something amiss with TIO. This very thread, for example, is not on mine.

Ah - it's appeared. Maybe that was me.

Battery
That's really odd, we'll continue to test these results. If you have the chance, could you screenshot your energy usage of Mumsnet, with the 'time on screen' showing? Would really help.

Watched Threads
We looked into your account and figured out it was because of the number of watched threads you have. We've just released a fix that means it should now work, let us know if there's still issues!

Highlighting
This should highlight when there are new messages - I'll take another look at some stage.

Duplicate Posts
I'm almost done on a fix for this, which should be released within a week or so.
