Latest Talk app update for iOS

Morning all,

Early this morning we released an update for our iOS Talk app and thought we'd give you a heads-up about it.

There is now a search function so you can now search every thread on Mumsnet Talk from within the app.

This update also includes bug fixes for a number of issues that were reported by you - thanks for your feedback.

Let us know what you think and thanks for all of you feedback so far.

Whatsupp ah yes, that's been raised already, I'm working on a fix for that. My bad! The previous way it worked was causing a crash, so it needed re-writing.

I've just released a new build on the App Store, including some fixes from
google. I'm hoping this solves a whole load of our our crashes...

Strange, for some reason the App Store isn't showing the update yet. Sometimes there's a bit of a delay in release...

Glad you said that because I thought it was just me!

I updated on 10th it shows no search Facility....
Also now threads I'm on do not hi light when new posts are added now VERY annoying?
Any ideas MN tech??

Are you getting the little magnifying glass near the top right, Only? That's the 'Search' function.

PS - it's not there when you're within a board as far as I recall.

I've spent the last 2 days feeling like the new thread killer on the block

Well, there are still some issues. I haven't found any filtering mechanism on the Search function yet. (Doesn't mean it's not there somewhere, of course.) By date seems to be the critical one, I reckon.

I have a vague memory that Tech are aware of the highlighting issue and will be addressing it in some future update. (Happy to be corrected on that.) In the interim, I guess we just have to enter threads to see if they've been posted on. (Where recall of post numbers isn't enough.)

No crashes here so far. Fingers crossed.
