I thought the same. That thread didn't threaten her privacy, she just didn't like the answers. Deleting is very heavy handed.

I wish they'd stop putting this deletion message because the second sentence is just not true

This thread has been deleted at the OP's request. (We don't normally delete whole threads but we will do so when it is to protect a poster's privacy.)

MNHQ constantly delete whole threads on the flimsiest concerns about privacy. More typically it's because the OP's proved themselves a twat and doesn't like the evidence remaining.

I can remember, back when I was a sweet summer child on MN I started a thread (I'm not saying what about because it's too embarrassing now) that resulted in the worse flaming imaginable.

I begged HQ to delete it but they thought my arse being thoroughly roasted was an 'interesting discussion' so it stayed.

I still have the scorch marks from that but I absolutely deserved them.

I've been flamed gently told off, but I've learned and name changed.

I also had a name change fail in the middle of it all which is what I imagine it feels like when your knickers fall down during an argument.
