A number of us here have a love of pen porn and wanted to know if there was a grubby little corner you could stick us into??

And if MN wanted to create special personalised pens for us as well we will love you forever...

Generally a lurker but coming out of the shadows to say yes please to stationary corner (although the bank account may disagree!) I'm wanna, and I'm a pen and inkoholic - nice to meet you all.

CrazyDuchess · 24/04/2016 18:22

Another one de-lurking to plead for the Stationery Cupboard. Thanks to the thread in Chat I have ended up with 5 new bottles of ink and counting. Goodness knows I don't need more encouragement but I really want it....

scrivette · 24/04/2016 20:08

Oh yes yes we need one!

I want to talk pretty notebooks and new fountain pens.

Might need a couple of new icons too!

CrazyDuchess · 24/04/2016 20:38

The thread on chat has been responsible for the child eating beans on toast for the foreseeable future!

Oh don't do that see, I don't need to be shown any more tempting things!

Cinnamoncookie · 24/04/2016 20:51

Ooh, yes please. I'm a stage manager, and as a profession we are known to be stationery fetishists. I also live opposite a Staples, and have to exert tremedous willpower to not spend my entire life and paycheque in there.

My weaknesses are mechanical pencils, notebooks and postits. New notebook for every job, and it has to be the right notebook. A5, spiral bound, bit of elastic around the outside, and preferably brightly coloured so I don't lose it in a workplace that is predominantly painted black. I rarely write work stuff in pen because it has to be erasable. Please don't hate me

And then we get onto the sub-genre of Sharpie-love....

WoodleyPixie · 24/04/2016 20:55

I may or may encourage my ten year old daughter on a regular basis to spend her pocket money on stationery.

I also may or may not have a stack of unopened adult colouring books just so I have an excuse to buy tins and tins of coloured pencils and felt pens

Heaven help dh or ds2 if they try to use a pen out of my pencil case and not one of the manky bics in the kitchen drawer.

I also may or may not have threatened to disown ds2 when I saw his school pencil case contained one bitten and chewed pencil and one broken biro. I spent hours choosing neutral nice school stationery for him. Angry

CrazyDuchess · 24/04/2016 20:55

Ahhh post-its many a happy memories on selecting new colours for the season to come......

My Amazon page keeps suggesting new tins and boxes of colouring sets. Dd (10) got all excited when I brought a tin of 25 pencils from smiggle until I told her they were mine. Blush

CrazyDuchess · 24/04/2016 21:16

Ooohhh I have had that encounter many times before with my DD Blush

Amazon iso pure evil (but I love it deeply)

Can I step into the cupboard?

I only have one fountain pen -a beautiful wooden one (so far!).
I wonder if you have any writing paper suggestions, I want to write on beautiful fancy smancy paper.

WoodleyPixie · 24/04/2016 21:33

Who knew?? There are subscription boxes!! Might have to cancel my birch box and dd's kawaii box. www.stationerylovers.co.uk/2015/04/stationery-box-subscriptions.html?m=1

DollyTwat · 24/04/2016 23:35

No many pens in those subscription boxes are there? I'd be a bit meh at getting just notepads

WoodleyPixie · 25/04/2016 10:07

yes I noticed that after rather disappointing after my initial excitement.

SlinkyVagabond · 25/04/2016 17:29

Do we all know that it's National Stationery week and Wednesday is officially Stationery Day? In celebration i may have spent forty odd quid on crack pens. Well, did wanted a staple less stapler and some nice colouring pens (and she nicks mine) then some diamine shimmer ink fell in followed by a sailor pen and converter and some ultra cheapy pens for dh and work.
DAMN YOU ALLLLLLLL!

ElviraCondomine · 25/04/2016 18:01

My name is Elvira and I love:

notebooks
highlighters
post it notes
post it flags
journals
diaries
planners
files
dividers

pens not so bothered (the curse of being left handed - ink has never been my friend) but a Papermate flexgrip ultra on the right sort of paper is sheer heaven (especially if I have marked the pages with several different shades of post its.)

So I'm in.

TheScottishPlay · 25/04/2016 18:15

I'm in too. I love all stayionery but pens, scented rubbers, notebooks and pencil tins especially.
A Smiggle has just opened in town. It has taken a fair bit of my disposable income this week even though it's a bit more DS pot of pencil sharpenings.
I'm off to check out the websites mentioned by a pp.
Anyone know anymore I can check out ( I have birthday money).

CrazyDuchess · 25/04/2016 19:44

Grin love it- welcome all

My name is crazy and I love pens, pretty pencil cases and gorgeous A5 journals.. I dislike pencils (mechanical or otherwise)

I hope to find others like me Blush

DontKnowWhatImDoingHere · 26/04/2016 10:38

I love all sorts of note pads, journals, writing paper, pens ... I really struggle to find nice writing paper, especially recycled, or non flowery ...

Hoping the stationery board will be allowed .. There seem to be a lot of us.

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 26/04/2016 11:00

May I join in, another with a secret compulsion to ogle stationery.
Probably equals the joy of choosing and buying (whisper) bedding and towels...
