A number of us here have a love of pen porn and wanted to know if there was a grubby little corner you could stick us into??

And if MN wanted to create special personalised pens for us as well we will love you forever...

I learnt to spell it this year because Envelopes are Station e ry

daisychicken · 23/04/2016 16:13

That's a good way to remember KatyMac! I know there are 2 ways to spell the word and one means at stand still in traffic (stationary) and the other is pens and paper (stationery) but I always get mixed up! Ok so envelopes in station e ry!

I am in favour of such a thing.

But I think I should probably avoid it. [hides credit card]

FrozenAteMyDaughter · 23/04/2016 21:24

I think this one would get used. Stationery is a proper obsession for lots of people.

IonaMumsnet · 23/04/2016 22:25

Ahem.
This sounds like a lovely idea. As always, let us know what you think and we'll have a discussion about it if there's enough call for it. Thank you!

CrazyDuchess · 23/04/2016 22:29

Woooohooooo Iona

We are officially everywhere!!!

Guacamowle · 23/04/2016 23:21

Yes please!! We need a stationary cupboard!!

indigo88 · 24/04/2016 08:16

Yes! yes! yes! count me in. Opened a draw yesterday and discovered it was full of pens. Know now I've got bad,

indigo88 · 24/04/2016 08:17

got it bad

Seeyounearertime · 24/04/2016 08:22

I.... Er thought I was the only one.
It's a shameful secret that I've carried around for many years. Finally a place I can talk about my pensexuality and my notepad fetishes.

Some people go to Ann summers, some browse Love Honey. I browse Ryman and WHSmith (and The Works when I'm feeling dirty)

Paperblank · 24/04/2016 09:41

I know that we started out talking pen porn, but I have a love of all things stationery. I'm not allowed in the cupboard at work because I swipe everything and bring it home so it stays nice

Saw this pic on Pintrest and would like to suggest it as our group logo!

Pop over to Pintrest (other websites are availableGrin) search "stationery" and spend the day in heaven!

Ooh yes please! I adore stationery (actually designed it in my old job ).

I spent over an hour in the new Kikki K shop in Covent Garden yesterday (definitely one to visit if you are in London) but it felt like 5 mins! My DD was not impressed but it seemed like a fair exchange for spending the rest of the day outside the Primark and New Look changing rooms :)

CrazyDuchess · 24/04/2016 09:52

Pensexuality ROAR!!!

This is brilliant!

I bet each and every one of us has a "drawer of shame/pride"

I'm slightly horderish and struggleto get rid of broken pens.

Yes I have found my people Grin

Snep · 24/04/2016 09:59

I have a doctorate in stationery. I want in!

Therealyellowwiggle · 24/04/2016 10:03

Yesyesyes

PigeonPie · 24/04/2016 10:27

I don't have a drawer - I have a whole cupboard! In my defence, I work from home and have to be able to accommodate every eventuality!

DH is almost as bad as me and it was he who encouraged me that we 'needed' a long arm stapler!

I do have an account at out local stationers and have to be very careful not to buy too much at one time Grin

CrazyDuchess · 24/04/2016 10:35

Ooohhhhhh I'd love a cupboard but will probably need to evict the child to accommodate that!@

I'm the opposite Crazy once a pen starts blobbing or a pencil won't sharpen that's it. It goes to the stationery cupboard in the sky.

At work I favour a black bic biro and take great satisfaction in finishing them. It does happen - takes about 6 weeks. I may or may not have noted this in my desk diary

CrazyDuchess · 24/04/2016 10:58

It has to be a fine nib black pilot ballpoint pen they are just so smooth

OP posts:
LemonRedwood · 24/04/2016 11:07

My current favourite is the Uni Jet stream. The 1.0 writes so much smoother that the 0.7, but I can't find it in red Sad

Two more shops to browser online are Bureau Direct (with its colour pages) and The Journal Shop (with travelers notebooks and fancy paperclips)..

Does anyone else enjoying playing with hot wax? I love the way it melts and drips (rubs thighs). I pen pal letter is not complete without its seal.
