A number of us here have a love of pen porn and wanted to know if there was a grubby little corner you could stick us into??

And if MN wanted to create special personalised pens for us as well we will love you forever...

Thank you everyone for your comments.
Still not quite decided... I suspect I could develop a habit.

underrugsswept · 13/06/2016 21:26

Just buy them all Grin

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 14/06/2016 07:43

I was very disappointed to see the "Show Me Your Ink" thread last night was all about tattoos, not stationery. Although somebody posted a nice pen on it Smile

CrazyDuchess · 14/06/2016 08:33

Haha Polka me too! Grin

How do you guys managing switching inks or do you have a separate pen for each one? I'm wondering if I should buy a few different inks and convertors and just swap them out when I fancy a change (will the ink dry up or spill out if it's just sat there not in a pen?) or whether I just finish one lot of ink then refill it in a different pot but... cross contamination? Confused I realise I'm straying into quite nerdy territory here...

PigeonPie · 16/06/2016 22:57

I have a pen for each colour and will often be seen with paper on my desk with lots of different colours scrawled over it for different actions!

TheRattleBag · 20/06/2016 21:54

I'm looking for recommendations..... can anyone help?

I need to get a pen set as a gift, for a 50-something chap. I'm looking for a ballpoint and pencil, with a nice case, and want to spend about £140 including delivery. And I need it by next Monday (27th) at the absolute latest.

I'd normally go for Parker, but can be persuaded elsewhere!

Oh, and it shouldn't be too delicate as he's quite a robust bloke :-)

Any ideas?

underrugsswept · 21/06/2016 06:54

Delivery-wise you'd be fine at Cult Pens as they often ship same day. Not sure what to suggest though, I'm not responsible enough to not lose posh pens. Someone will be along shortly I imagine!

Hot tip - TKMaxx and Homesense have mini Moleskine notebooks for £4.99. I just bought myself a little Tuesday treat...

I went for a Pelikan set in the end, but made the mistake of losing my Cult Pens virginity and set up an account with them. And I might have added a couple of things for myself too........... I can see this being the start of a slippery slope!

Knightjam · 22/06/2016 11:45

TheRattleBag,

first I wish someone would spend that much on me. (cough...cough lol)

If it was me, I would like a nice metal Sheaffer pen, I am not a flashy guy

if this lovely chap is left handed I would recommend aluminum swan neck pen, and you would still have a fair bit of your budge left :D

hope it helps

CrazyDuchess · 22/06/2016 12:23

underrugsswept its payday tomorrow and off I run to TKMAXX to cheer myself up - i will share pics of my spoils Grin

Any recent purchases from anyone? Grin

LemonRedwood · 09/07/2016 08:05

DH just bough me a lilac moleskin notebook with my initial embossed on it for my birthday.

He said, "I know you love stationery so I got it for you for your lists and stuff."

My husband is the best husband Grin

LemonRedwood · 09/07/2016 09:18

Looking at it in daylight, it's grey, not lilac. It's still beautiful.

Thequilltosurvive · 09/07/2016 15:17

A man who enables a notebook addiction is definitely a keeper!

LemonRedwood · 11/07/2016 17:38

And my sister is enabling my pen addiction :)

Well I've just used my broad italic Parker Sonnet fountain pen to write some birthday/wedding cards, using the deep dark purple Diamine ink.... and I'm smitten!

Also got to use blotting paper which is a rare treat!

PetraDelphiki · 12/07/2016 21:37

I found a new fountain pen at a summer fair...

www.plooms.co.uk

I have orange with pink ink and a broad italic nib...it's gorgeous!

Jubaloo442 · 23/07/2016 08:28

I've just finished work (teaching) for the summer, and then am on maternity leave. My biggest fear is that I won't need stationery anymore.

Anyway, my favourite pen is my Kaweco Sport fountain pen. Got it from Waterstones on Regent St in London and even as a LEFT HANDER I can use it without bending the nib. But now I want to step into the world of 'real ink' ie in pots. Hmmm...

QuilliamCakespeare · 06/01/2017 18:05

Hoping this doesn't count as a zombie given the thread has been quiet for a while.

I need a good stationary perv - what did everyone get for Christmas?

ToBeHere · 16/08/2022 13:37

I could have sworn there was a Stationery Cupboard topic but I can’t find it! I need a new notebook and need some advice. Was there a topic or have I dreamt it?!

SoupDragon · 16/08/2022 13:51

There was. It got taken away during one of the Topic Culls.

i think there has been a campaign for a new one.
