Page keeps reloading on Safari

Every thread I'm trying to read, the page will reload half way through. It's also doing it as I post so my posts are disappearing.

Also being driven mad by this

Iphone 5 and also have that black box ad thing at the bottom of the page

The site is really really playing up. I've tried my iPhone, my laptop and my iPad. And it crashes on all of them

Ffs I had to ditch Chrome because MN was unusable to constantly loading adverts - and now bloody Safari is a major problem too. Perhaps it's MN I need to ditch, as the obsession with 'flashy' advertising is detracting rather from the point of the site?!

I fear I have used up my entire monthly mobile data on a single train journeys today.

Yup, MN currently unusable on the mobile site, on Safari, slow, jerky, reloading the page all the time. Driving me mad.

Oh! My data has been draining really quickly lately too. I don't use video. Except of course here where those bloody ads are running constantly. How do I turn them off??

Me too. iPhone 5C. Latest iOS update. On safari.

I've had to type this out in notes so I can copy and paste it into mumsnet.

The page keeps going blank when I scroll down, then catching up. Sometimes reloading. Sometimes getting that iPhone message "a problem occurred with this page".

When I was trying to type directly in the post field, the letters were very delayed. I was typing out whole lines before the words appeared. My phone became uncomfortably hot.

I can't see any video ads trying to load (unless it's at the bottom of the thread?). The Debenhams ad is at the top.

Yep, ads are at the bottom on the bottom on the mobile site. Scroll down and you'll see it trying to load!

If you go to google ad preferences and turn off interest based ads then the ads go away and Mumsnet doesn't crash.

At least it worked for me.

Glad it's not just me, I thought it was my phone. It's been driving me nuts.

I agree voyage. I understand that MN needs the advertising revenue but this truly is a massive turn off to the kind of MNer I am, and I can't be unique. I commute and used MN on the train with my mobile data. At home I MN from an IPad and IPhone through wifi. MN has been virtually unusable for the past few days and this isn't the first time we've had problems with adverts rendering MN difficult - impossible to use. I love MNing and have received great advice from its posters in the past but if this continues (coupled with the security breaches) I think I may have to call it a day. :(

Is there any chance of a paid for app that is ad free?

Ah I did wonder why my data was running out after a couple of weeks.

So just use MN when hooked up to wifi, that's fair dos.

same problem here on safari and iPhone 6S. tbh I've only been having the problem since I upgraded at the weekend so thought it was a 6S issue...

What is this google ad preference thing and where do I find it on iPhone?
