"You have a message" with a red flashing envelope. It's giving me a headache - literally. And ids on the top of every third thread I open. I much prefer adverts in the body of the text.

It's on every third or fourth thread I open "win an iPhone 6". Come on, MN - you know there are a lot of vulnerable people here who don't have money at this time of year. People who might be tempted to click on it, then think they'd won a phone. Quite apart from the fact that the flashing goes against all web accessibility guidelines.
