"You have a message" with a red flashing envelope. It's giving me a headache - literally. And ids on the top of every third thread I open. I much prefer adverts in the body of the text.

I agree.

Shit like this is known to cause headaches and even migraines.

AgentProvocateur · 05/12/2014 19:13

See - I can't even type properly because it's affecting me! Wink Scammy.

Hi both,

Sorry about that. We'll get rid!

AgentProvocateur · 06/12/2014 19:11

It's still there tonight.

I can still see it now. Gives me a headache so I can't use the mobile site for now. Bit surprised you're having scam adverts like this to be honest - don't mind normal ones but his is obviously scam

WorrisomeHeart · 14/12/2014 07:17

And still there this morning - honestly it just looks incredibly tacky, I know MN needs ads but surely there's a screening criteria for the types of advertisers you allow to access the site??

LineRunner · 14/12/2014 07:19

It's still there now.

Eeeeekyeeek · 14/12/2014 10:33

Still there now. Not only is it annoying it looks scammy as well.

libertychick · 14/12/2014 10:36

On mine too. Very annoying.

headlesslambrini · 14/12/2014 10:38

Me too, bloody annoying

hevak · 14/12/2014 10:44

Also on mine within the last 5-10 minutes - agree with everyone else, it's very annoying

GiantGaspingSatanicCyst · 14/12/2014 10:45

Yes, it really brings the tone down tbh. I might as well be looking at Yahoo!

IDontDoIroning · 14/12/2014 11:45

It's horrible please get rid of it

DawnMumsnet · 14/12/2014 12:42

Hi there,

Sorry about this - we'll give our Tech folk another prod and see what's what.

LineRunner · 14/12/2014 12:50

Apparently it's a scam advert, I'm told on another thread.

gamerchick · 14/12/2014 12:54

Oooh I thought I'd picked up a nasty. A relief right there Grin

Is annoying though.

mipmop · 14/12/2014 19:24

I can see it too - it appears at the top of the mobile site, above the word "mumsnet". The colour scheme matches your website and it's clearly trying to confuse people through the design they've chosen. (Position on-screen, colours used, the fact that you do have competitions on the site so people may think the text on the ad "you've won an iphone" could be the subject of a PM...)

hugoagogo · 14/12/2014 21:34

I have it too
Nasty thing

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 14/12/2014 21:36

Yes, please avoid flashing ads in general (migraine trigger).

There should be a health warning.

SunshineOutdoors · 14/12/2014 21:54

Yes it has been designed to look like you've got a mn pm. Bad advert I'm surprised is on this site.

NotMrsTumble · 14/12/2014 22:34

Yup, still here. Made me click off the thread Sad

LineRunner · 15/12/2014 08:46

It's back again.

mipmop · 15/12/2014 12:33

It's the type of thing that makes new visitors assume a website is untrustworthy. I'm surprised it's still being shown.
