We could have a little window showing a webcam view of it on the right hand side of the site, if you can squeeze it between the adverts. It would be good for those of us who don't have pets of our own or who accidentally ate theirs.

I suggest a tank with a goldfish called Mr Fish. I would also like a miniature goat, but it would probably drown in the tank.

We could get a T-Rex and Sharon could look after it

Some people see rats as vermin Rebecca, but one persons vermin is another persons pet. We just need to cage it and feed it, but not let it get fat.

Either a tortoise or some stick insects please.

The mumsnet pet should be a spider - this will help the people who are frightened of spiders because they can watch it from a safe distance

I'm putting my foot down and ending this nonsense now. There is only one possible pet that we could ever entertain and this is a tiger. They are a) endangered (much likes MNers i.e. the few remaining normal Mums etc out there in the wild world of the internet... sometimes), b) beautiful (take this as a compliment, y'all!) and c) terrifying. Like, um, we can be. See AIBU.

Plus I really really really want a tiger and DH says I am not allowed one as it would shed on the bed and he's fed up of hoovering as it is.
